    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

2026-08-04 - Air Fryer Fries

Some days don’t announce themselves as important while you’re living them. They just quietly become milestones.

Today began with a simple goal: make progress. I watched another SpudFit video as part of my AI Diet journey, recorded my weight, and reminded myself that meaningful change isn’t built in dramatic moments—it comes from consistently showing up.

The photo to the right shows those delicious fries I have been making in the air fryer with avocado oil. I ran out of ketchup with stevia, so I drove to Hughs Independent Grocer this evening.  It had just closed, so I drove to the Real Canadian Superstore, which was open, but they had no French’s Stevia Ketchup, or even their home brand of stevia ketchup.  ChatGPT tells me that Quality Foods Comox sells it, so let me try that tomorrow morning…

Then I tackled a project that has been on my mind for quite a while: creating the landing page for The Next Chapter. What started as a blank template slowly evolved into something that finally felt like me. We refined the words over and over until they stopped sounding like marketing and started sounding like an honest invitation. “What if your most meaningful years haven’t happened yet?” became the heart of the page, followed by a simple admission that I think captures where I am in life: “I don’t have all the answers. But I’ve come to believe that asking better questions changes everything.” By late afternoon, I pressed Publish. It was a surprisingly emotional moment. An idea that had existed only in my imagination now had a home on the internet.

In between, I kept moving forward on the less glamorous parts of life. I processed another batch of old OneDrive photos from the early 2000s, continuing my slow journey through decades of memories. I also took out the garbage and recycling from the Barn Suite—one of those small chores that immediately makes life feel a little more organized.

Later in the day I found myself thinking about community. I’ve become friendly with many of the staff at my local McDonald’s, several of whom are from the Philippines. An idea came to me: buy a bag of Filipino candies and include a handwritten note thanking them for always being so friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Not because I expect anything in return, but simply because people deserve to know when they’ve made someone else’s day a little brighter. Sometimes the smallest gestures say the most.

Looking back at today’s time log, I spent just 96 focused minutes working across several different projects. None of the sessions were especially long, but together they added up to something meaningful. That’s becoming one of the biggest lessons I’m learning: progress doesn’t require perfect days. It requires consistent ones.

Today wasn’t flashy. There were no grand adventures or dramatic breakthroughs. But I published The Next Chapter, moved a few long-term projects forward, cleaned up a corner of my life, and thought about ways to make other people smile.

When I look back on this day months from now, I suspect I won’t remember the garbage bags or the photo processing. I’ll remember that today was the day The Next Chapter became real.
