    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

It was an overcast Monday morning, and unfortunately my leg was still giving me a lot of trouble. At 9:56 a.m. I had my little talk with the Universe and commented on how hard it is to believe that I’m the same guy who used to run marathons. These days I can barely get to the car when the leg is acting up. I planned to spend most of the day taking it easy in the Barn Suite, doing some computer work, sleeping or napping, and hoping the medication would start helping. I also asked the Universe to help me find my passion, help me be happy, and make things a little easier. I’m really enjoying making these little AI movies, so perhaps there’s a clue in there somewhere.

I spent quite a bit of time today playing around with AI images and video again. One of the fun experiments involved imagining two 12-year-old kids back in 1968, with the boy teaching the girl how to ride his new gold CCM Mustang bicycle. I worked on getting the photograph into the right 16:9 format and then developed VideoExpress prompts. We even worked on dialogue that would sound like two ordinary 12-year-old kids from Nova Scotia in 1968 rather than modern kids—or, heaven forbid, British kids!

The AI movie-making rabbit hole got even deeper when I received an email announcing the new ElevenLabs MCP capabilities for ChatGPT and other platforms. Apparently ElevenLabs is moving beyond voices into an environment involving music, sound effects, images and video as well. That led me into thinking again about just how quickly all of this is developing. It’s amazing to think that what still requires stitching together little clips today may become almost automatic surprisingly soon.

Of course, that raised another question: where on earth are we going to get enough electricity for all of this AI? Data centres are already enormous consumers of power, and generating video is vastly more computationally intensive than having a text conversation. It was interesting to look at how renewables, natural gas, nuclear power, better electrical grids and—probably most importantly—rapid improvements in computing efficiency may all have to contribute.

I also spent some time listening to and discussing a few interesting videos today. One dealt with belief systems and the idea that when we think we’ve eliminated a negative belief but nothing changes, we may only have removed a secondary belief rather than the foundational one underneath it. Another was a pretty startling interview predicting nothing less than the possible collapse of modern civilization over the next twenty years. There were some wild predictions in that one—everything from a third Trump term and a siege of New York City to technological regression, AI becoming a control system, and even Lionel Messi someday becoming president of Argentina. I certainly don’t have to believe any of it, but it made for interesting listening. It also got me thinking about some sensible preparations in case banking or payment systems were ever temporarily disrupted.

On a considerably less apocalyptic note, I watched another Spud Fit discussion. Mandy talked about trying Andrew’s potato-based approach for a week and discovering that the biggest change wasn’t necessarily the weight she lost—it was how much less she thought about food. That interested me because it fits right into some of my own thinking about potatoes, simple meals and getting food to occupy a smaller part of my mental landscape. I even experimented a little with the idea of making a bread or bun using my dehydrated potatoes, egg whites and oat flour.

2026-09-13 - DQ Meal Deal

For lunch today I kept things pretty straightforward and made rice with ground beef in the rice cooker. I put the rice and water in and cooked the beef along with it. Nothing particularly fancy, but another little food experiment nonetheless.

While waiting for a prescription at Shopper’s Drug Mart I wandered over to Dairy Queen for their combo meal deal. I had a cheeseburger and fries and Pepsi and finished things off with a strawberry sundae while watching the September 14 edition of ABC World News Tonight on my tablet (see photo to the right). It wasn’t exactly Spud Fit, but it was an enjoyable little outing.

There were plenty of other rabbit holes along the way today. I went digging into old professional wrestling history involving Leo Burke and the abdominal stretch, did some detective work on a few names and businesses from years ago, and continued experimenting with AI-generated photographs.

So it turned into another surprisingly full day despite my leg keeping me from doing very much physically. I researched everything from civilization collapse to potatoes, experimented with AI filmmaking, travelled back to Nova Scotia in 1968 for a bicycle lesson, made lunch in the rice cooker, and had dinner at Dairy Queen, and continued trying to figure out where all of this new creative technology might be leading me.

And somewhere out there, presumably, is my Toonie. 😄
