📋Additional Daily Notes

Welcome to the weekend once again, folks. Anything big planned? I started the day by grounding myself in the reason behind all of this. Losing weight isn’t just about the number on the scale—it’s about no more joint pain, moving easier up and down stairs, new clothes, getting out more, traveling more. A better life, one step at a time. I went through Maggie’s manifestation video again, locking into that idea of being completely okay without the outcome, but knowing it’s already mine. That mindset has worked for me before, and I’m leaning back into it.

I stepped on the scale and logged the result—361.9 lbs. down to 351.1 lbs., a total loss of 10.8 lbs. Not the finish line, but progress. No dreams to record this morning, just a steady continuation of the path.

Later this morning I went to see Amy, who lives near the Quality Foods in Comox. We talked about potentially opening up a church together… As I was leaving I found a pretty little stone on the path (see photo to the right). Not sure if it means anything, but perhaps important enough to record here?

This evening took on a bit of a nostalgic tone. I watched Season 1, Episode 2 of the original Kung Fu series, “Dark Angel” while I munched on my three Costco apples and a coffee at McD’s (see also photo to the right). There’s something about that show that’s hitting differently right now—slower, more deliberate, less about action and more about how you move through things. It connects to something deeper I’ve been circling all day.

My chin-up bar from Amazon arrived, which felt like one of those small but meaningful moments. Nothing dramatic, but real. Something tangible. I gave it a go—just the beginning—but it’s there now. A starting point. It reminded me that maybe this path I’ve been thinking about isn’t gone. Maybe it’s just… starting later.

I spent a bit of time intentionally slowing things down. No rush, no goal—just moving deliberately, sitting with a coffee without distraction, noticing instead of pushing. When those thoughts about “the path not taken” came up, I tried replacing them with something more grounded: that the qualities I’m drawn to are still available to me now. That shift felt important.

Food-wise, I stayed consistent with the Forever Plate approach, continuing to expand into AI Diet v1.1.2. Nothing flashy—just sticking with it. That seems to be the theme of the day: consistency over intensity.

There are still a lot of optional projects sitting there—the Barn Suite, the music studio, bookkeeping, reading, learning—but none of that felt urgent today. What mattered was movement. Small, quiet steps in the right direction.

Saturday’s main focus ended up being exactly what it needed to be: working on the Shawshank Redemption long video for tomorrow. That felt like the right place to put my energy.

Looking back, nothing about today feels like a big turning point. No major breakthrough. Just a series of small actions—a workout bar arriving, a TV episode watched, a coffee shop moment, a video being built. But maybe that’s the point.

Maybe nothing is wasted. Maybe even the moments that feel like nothing… are still part of something.
