I sat at my “regular booth” at McDonalds, this time with an XLarge coffee with some oat beverage and splenda (see photo to the right), and chatted with ChatGPT on the “way forward”…

Over the past few weeks, something inside me has shifted. I can’t pinpoint the exact day — maybe around the time I hit day 160 of this larger journey — but I’ve started to feel done with striving. I used to think that happiness was on the other side of effort, that if I could just do enough, or eat right, or manifest correctly, or perfect the system, then I’d finally unlock peace. But all the doing never actually brought that feeling. It just amplified the distance between where I was and where I thought I should be.

So I’ve been quietly rebuilding how I live. Not the goals — those are still there — but the way I move through the day. What started as a few pages of notes about Neville Goddard’s teachings turned into something much bigger: my own Operational Manual for Conscious Living. I called it The Law in Motion. It’s not a book or a program or a self-improvement plan. It’s a way of remembering. A reminder that the only real “law” is that the outer world mirrors the inner state — always.

I wanted something that would hold all the teachers who’ve shaped me — Neville and Tolle, Esther Hicks, Wallace Wattles, the Buddha, Christ — and weave them into a single rhythm I could actually live by. I don’t see their teachings as separate anymore; they’re all describing the same river, just from different banks. Neville said, “Imagination creates reality.” Christ said, “According to your faith be it unto you.” Hicks said, “You are always creating.” They’re all saying: your world is an echo of your inner tone.

As I refined The Law in Motion, it naturally broke into sections — Morning Intention, Midday Embodiment, Evening Revision — not as a list of tasks, but as touchpoints. These are gentle cues, not commands. Just ways to remind myself who I really am when the day tries to convince me otherwise. I even added a Daily Invocation that starts, “I am the love I once searched for.” I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear my own voice saying that every morning until I did.

For a while, the manual started to grow into a giant checklist. Every time I’d add a new section — a Weekly Review, a Fruits of the Law record, a Sabbath of Silence — I’d feel that old weight creeping back in. It was becoming a new form of pressure, another mountain to climb. That’s when I stopped and created the Reminder Card. It says, “Nothing is required. Only the feeling of completion.” Those seven words changed everything. They cut straight through the noise. They reminded me that the point isn’t to finish the list — it’s to live in the state.

I also wrote myself a Permission Slip and taped it to the front of the binder. It says I’m free to drop anything that feels heavy. I don’t have to track every meal or post every day or prove my worth through production. The only work required of me is alignment. The only goal is peace. That page made me cry a little when I wrote it. Not from sadness, but relief.

So for now, I’m releasing the outer hustle. No more forced upload schedules, no chasing analytics, no guilt when I skip a weigh-in or eat something that isn’t part of the plan. Neville says that when the inner state changes, the outer must follow. So that’s my focus now — inner tone. Peace first, form later. I’ll let the manual guide me into that. It’s my rhythm for this season of life.

So what will happen? I don’t know. What I do know is that chasing won’t make it come faster. Only resting in the feeling of fulfillment will. Maybe that’s the real secret — the law isn’t loud. It doesn’t shout or demand. It whispers, Be still. Feel it real. Let the world catch up.

So that’s where I am tonight. Day 160-something. No diet app open, no upload schedule on the wall, no stopwatch on my manifestation practice. Just me, my coffee, my manual, and this growing sense that everything I’ve ever wanted is already underway. I don’t need to make it happen anymore. I just have to feel it done — and let life do the rest.
