It’s 1:38 a.m. and I’m in this small motel room in Oyster Bay, the heater humming, the world outside dark and still. I couldn’t sleep because an idea hit me that felt too important to risk losing. It started with a question that’s been looping in my head for days: What is this “Becoming” journey really asking of me?

I thought about the way we usually set goals — the typical structure of deciding where we want to be in a year, breaking it into months and weeks, and chasing it day by day. Somewhere between the soft hiss of the heater and the faint surf outside, I realized that maybe the whole process is backward. Maybe instead of building toward the goal, the goal should start the book.

I imagined a journal that begins at the end — page one declaring who I’ve already become. Instead of filling pages to get somewhere, I’d fill them as evidence that the 3-D world is catching up with what already exists in imagination. It felt like something Neville Goddard would have understood immediately: start with the fulfilled assumption.

The more I thought about it, the more vivid it became. Each day’s page would have two halves — the top half describing the 4-D state (“As my fulfilled self, I am already …”), and the bottom half recording the 3-D reflection (“Today I did … and this showed me …”). The book would move backward in time, each entry counting down from the end.

By 2 a.m. I was sketching the structure in my head: maybe it’s a binder so I can add pages for sections that need more time — health, finances, love, creativity, giving. Each domain its own chapter of Becoming. It hit me that this isn’t just a neat journaling trick; it’s a seed idea. A system. A ritual form of “living from the end.”

Somewhere between the sound of the wind and the hotel fridge cycling on, I started to imagine how it could exist physically — a disc-bound ledger with colored dividers, bridge-extension inserts, even a starter kit called The Reverse Becoming System. It would let people literally write backward from the future they’ve already claimed.

By morning I was exhausted but excited. I thought about what this means financially and creatively — could it actually become something? We weighed it against my other seeds: Body Whittle / AI Diet Plan as the broad-market cash engine, Neville News as the traffic magnet, Reverse Becoming as the tangible product, and this new idea — The Calm Creator — as the philosophical spine of everything.

That’s when the second realization came: this new framework naturally joins Neville and Eckhart Tolle. Neville gives direction (“assume the end”), Eckhart gives grounding (“be here now”). Together they form the perfect loop: the end imagined inside the Now. I could feel the click of it — as if two gears finally meshed. Later I expanded it to include Abraham Hicks (emotional alignment), Joseph Murphy (subconscious dialogue), and a dash of modern science to explain how it all fits. Five pillars. The Unified Field of Conscious Manifestation.

2025-10-12 - Water Slide

My son and I got a chance to go for a dip in the pool this morning as soon as it opened. They have a great water slide that he enjoys (see photo to the right)!

By afternoon I was running on caffeine and instinct. My son wanted a Teen Burger, so I walked across the street to A&W — the one across from the Microtel. Teen Burgers on sale for $4.99; small victories. I got two for myself and a combo with fries and apple juice for him. On the walk back, the air smelled of fryer oil and sea salt. I noticed the pool was finally empty; the hockey crowd that had filled the halls all weekend had moved on.

Inside, he was curled up on the bed, pale and tired, not feeling like swimming anymore. I let him rest. The room went quiet except for the heater and the muted TV. I scrolled through a few headlines — saw the Blue Jays lost to the Mariners — another small echo of the theme of the weekend: plans that didn’t quite go how I pictured.

But maybe that’s the whole point. Maybe “Becoming” isn’t about control; it’s about staying centered when the world refuses to match your script. Neville would say the outer world lags behind the inner assumption. Eckhart would say the Now is enough. Together they’d probably smile and tell me: This is the practice. This is the bridge.

I realized that the Reverse Becoming Journal is more than a product idea; it’s a mirror of how reality actually works. We start at the end, we live backward, and we write the proof one day at a time. The 3-D world can be noisy, delayed, imperfect — but if I hold the state, it eventually lines up.

So tonight I’m closing the day with gratitude — for a son resting beside me, for simple burgers, for the hush that finally arrived, and for a realization that might shape everything going forward:

Imagination gives the direction. Presence gives the peace. Together, they create the world.

Tomorrow the journey continues — probably with cough drops, coffee, and a clearer head — but for now, I’ll let the heater hum and the ocean breathe, and trust that the 3-D is already catching up.
