- ✅ #06: ☕ Over AM Coffee, say Terje’s Script! (*** NOTES ***) (11:59 pm!)
- #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
- #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
- #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
- #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
- #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
- #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
- #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

- SpudFit (Notes)! (Make Willpower Irrelevant – Spud Fit Challenge day 238)
- Andrew’s main point is that successful weight loss is not really about having extraordinary willpower; if he had possessed that kind of willpower, he says, he wouldn’t have reached 151 kg or gone through roughly 50 unsuccessful weight-loss attempts. Willpower can help initially, but eventually it runs out, so the better strategy is to arrange your environment and thinking so that you don’t need much of it in the first place. His big idea is to create “laws with no loopholes”: clear rules that prevent the little internal lawyer from negotiating exceptions—such as a quarter-teaspoon of oil becoming half a teaspoon, then a teaspoon, and eventually abandoning the rule altogether. For Andrew, “potatoes only” worked partly because there was virtually nothing to negotiate. He also says cravings cause us to focus on the immediate pleasure of eating something like cake while ignoring how we may feel afterward and the cumulative consequences of repeatedly making that choice; meanwhile, we undervalue something simple like potatoes because we focus on their comparatively modest immediate pleasure rather than all the benefits associated with staying on course. His overall lesson is therefore not to become better at resisting temptation, but to create a system in which there is much less temptation and negotiation to resist—what he describes as his own understanding of mindfulness and mindful eating.

📋Additional Daily Notes
I spent a good chunk of today working on several of my ongoing projects, and by the end of the day I felt like I had actually moved quite a few things forward.
Some of the day was spent working with images. I created a couple of 410 x 434 images showing very different emotional states.
At one point I also went down a completely different rabbit hole involving old sailing ships. I wanted to know exactly what a quarterdeck was and eventually had an illustration made showing an entire sailing ship with an arrow pointing to the quarterdeck. Another little bit of trivia acquired!
The much bigger accomplishment today involved my Universal Planner. I made considerable progress getting a number of my projects organized and synchronized. The Barn Suite project in particular got a major overhaul. What had been #0004 — Organize Barn Suite is now #0004A, with #0004B serving as the Box Directory and #0004C as the searchable Box Inventory. This should work much better because organizing the Barn Suite isn’t something I’m necessarily going to work on every day. Now I can do something whenever the mood strikes me, record exactly what I accomplished, and Future Kirk will know where to pick it up again.
I also started properly cataloguing the storage boxes in the Barn Suite. CV01 is now officially my “Already Becoming” box, and I recorded ten things currently inside it: my Banana Heart Summer novel, journal, diary, eyeglass cases, matches, candles, rings and my solitaire game. There are sixteen CV boxes altogether, so eventually I’ll be able to search the planner and know exactly which box contains something instead of rummaging through a mountain of cardboard.
While I was at it, I synchronized some of the other projects in the Universal Planner. HelpByBuzz is now ready for Video #35 and The Epic Story / Ultimate Evie now has a wonderfully simple next action: WRITE CHAPTER 3. We also cleaned up the considerable collection of backup sheets that had accumulated while doing all of this. I kept the important archival backups but got rid of the temporary synchronization clutter. The planner looks a whole lot saner now.
Tomorrow will be a little different around here because both kids are home as no school. Monday isn’t actually a holiday in Courtenay, but September 21 is a Non-Instructional Day for Comox Valley Schools, so there are no regular classes at either Vanier or Huband. They get themselves a three-day weekend.
I’ve also been thinking more about my AI Diet. One of the problems I’ve noticed is that I can follow a very simple eating plan quite well for a while, but eventually I get tired of eating the same things and want something enjoyable. A burger and fries is one of the things I particularly miss, and once I have an off-plan meal it can sometimes turn into several. Rather than pretending I’ll never want those foods again, I’m starting to wonder whether the better answer is to create healthier versions that can actually belong in my regular way of eating. Bread seems to be one of the things I particularly crave, so I’ve been thinking about how to make a genuinely good, low-calorie burger rather than simply eliminating burgers forever. Tonight I even started thinking about experimenting with a big almond-and-raisin cookie—or perhaps something closer to a soft almond-and-raisin bun—in the air fryer.

Tonight I headed over to the McDonald’s on Guthrie rather than the one on Lerwick, since the Lerwick location is currently having some construction done in the lobby area. Instead of just making it a quick coffee stop, I sat down with my tablet and had a burger, fries and a drink while watching some YouTube videos (see photo to the right). It was actually rather nice just sitting there late in the evening, eating and watching videos while the day wound down. By the time I left it was dark outside, with the McDonald’s sign glowing against the night.
I also finally checked that $5 Keno ticket I bought back on September 8. I had picked five numbers—9, 22, 52, 66 and 73—and played them for five consecutive draws. I scanned the ticket tonight with the BCLC app and up popped the rather pleasant message: “It’s a winner!”
Fifteen bucks!
Okay, I’m not buying my private island quite yet, but considering the ticket cost $5, that’s a $10 profit. I’ll take it. I can simply bring the original ticket back to a BCLC lottery retailer—including the convenience store where I bought it—and cash it in.
Perhaps appropriately, I later watched a video discussing Bashar’s take on playing the lottery. The interesting idea wasn’t simply about picking winning numbers. His argument was that playing can expose your underlying relationship with wealth and abundance. Instead of desperately hoping you’ve somehow guessed the predetermined winning numbers, his philosophy is to choose your numbers, enjoy the game and remain open to how abundance might show up—through the lottery or through some completely different route. The real thing you’re after may not be the lottery money at all, but whatever you imagine that money would allow you to experience.
Considering I’d just discovered that my forgotten little Keno ticket had turned $5 into $15, the timing made me smile.
So today ended up being a strange mixture of image experiments, sailing ships, diet thoughts, burgers and fries, project management, Evie, Passport Saturday, Barn Suite boxes, McDonald’s, Bashar and a fifteen-dollar lottery win.
In other words, a fairly typical day around here. 😄
