- #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
- #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
- #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
- #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
- #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
- #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
- #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes
Today was one of those days that felt heavier than most.
Around lunchtime, I found myself reflecting on my life and feeling an overwhelming sadness. The autism and ADHD testing process with Katie, my age, my childhood, and the path my life has taken all seemed to converge into one difficult realization: despite trying so hard to do the right thing since I was a teenager, I don’t feel the happiness I expected I would have by now. I found myself grieving not only for what is, but for what might have been. I thought about my parents, the influence they had on me, the responsibilities I carried, and the dream I’ve held since my teens. It was one of the more honest and emotional conversations I’ve had with the Universe in quite some time.

Rather than staying home and spiraling, I decided to follow the advice I had been given: stop trying to solve my life and simply participate in it. So I got in the car and headed toward Mudsharks. As I left the property, I was greeted by a deer standing quietly nearby. Was it a wink? A coincidence? A bridge of incidents? I don’t know. But it certainly got my attention. By the time I arrived at Mudsharks, I was still carrying the sadness, but I was also carrying curiosity.
For a change, I sat at a different table than usual—one facing the cashiers (see photo to the right). I ordered my usual large Americano and struck up a conversation with one of the staff members about a drink they offer called the Muddy Latte, a blend of medicinal mushrooms including Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps, Chaga, and Turkey Tail. She told me she’s a picky coffee drinker but actually likes it. I didn’t try it this time, but it was one more unexpected conversation that wouldn’t have happened if I’d stayed home. While sipping my coffee, I watched a few videos, including one from Chad Foster about life in the Philippines and another political discussion between Scott Galloway and Heather Cox Richardson. Both videos touched on themes that have been on my mind lately: authenticity, purpose, community, and the gap between what we expect from life and what we actually receive.
By the time I finally sat down for my first meal of the day around 7:20 p.m., I realized something important. The sadness was still there. The questions were still there. But so were the deer, the coffee, the conversations, the bike shopping, the Wendy’s run, the blueberry shake, and the time spent with my children.
Maybe that’s the lesson of today.
A difficult day can still be a good day.
Perhaps that’s enough for now.
