Daily Notes
I slept in late this morning and did about 3-4 meditation sessions. Here’s what came to mind:
- I’m outside the mall in Pasadena working on my laptop on a small wooden desk. Geoff Robertson comes up to see me. Tells me that his father has died.
- Curly red haired girl/woman riding a CCM Mustang bike on Huband road 1/2 way from Willis to ?. Smile on her face.
- Learn how to meditate in 30 days. This is my most important task. When meditating focus on “now” and how pleasant the feel of the bed is… Breathe in deeply through the mouth.
- For 30 days, focus on NOW, and record all blessings as a result.
- Study up on how to perfect meditation and “segmentation” throughout the day.
I had to take the van to Canadian Tire this afternoon to get “daytime running lights” installed. This was a requirement for our van to pass Canadian & BC inspections. The installation was supposed to only take 1 1/2 hours, but it took well over 2 hours! While I was waiting I walked down to Quality Foods to get a cup of coffee. I checked out my last lottery ticket from our drive to Courtenay. I thought this last one might be a winner, but alas, it was not! I also started to watch “Apocalypse Now” (see photo to the left).
While at Canadian Tire I saw that they had a special on coffee makers, so I picked one up for the “Barn Suite”. Only $39.99, with a regular price of $59.99! So 1/3 off!
Next up was to The Great Canadian Superstore to pick up groceries. As I was driving there I thought about “Segment Intending”, a game that you play to get into the right frame of mind… I’m going to try it out on a daily basis…
At The Great Canadian Superstore the plan was to pick up some ice cream for Amanda who was stopping by to deliver a “House Warming Present”, a sign with our house number on it. She also brought the knife that we purchased for our son in Victoria on our original trip to Vancouver Island about 15 months ago (see photo to the right). While there I also picked up milk, hot dogs, and seaweed for the kids! Unfortunately I forgot to pick up coffee for my new coffee maker!
Amanda is selling her Hyundai for $16,000. I was thinking that getting another Toyota Camry would suit us better. Dealerships sell used Camry’s with a guarantee. I hear that the dealership in Courtenay cheats people, but the one in Campbell River is better?
Our daughter has taken to bike riding again and has been using my wife’s bike, so we need to go and get another one for her.
