Daily Notes

This Saturday didn’t unfold in the tidy way my checklist likes to pretend life should. In fact, right from the start it seemed like the day was testing me. My glass water canister shattered across the counter in a splash of fragments and mess (see photo to the right), and from that moment forward I knew I’d be playing catch-up with the Universe rather than ticking neat little boxes. I could have let that small disaster derail me, but instead it became the beginning of a mini-pilgrimage: rushing down to Costco before closing, scanning Canadian Tire aisles, wandering Walmart shelves — all in search of a replacement that never materialized. I came home empty-handed in one sense, but in another sense I came home carrying something subtler: a reminder that Becoming doesn’t hinge on whether I find the thing I think I need.
The truth is, I didn’t get everything done today. My list still has Metamucil, moisturizer, water goals, and a couple other “shoulds” hanging over it unchecked. But today I made a conscious choice: I prioritized joy over stuff. That meant leaning into the moments that lifted me instead of grinding through every line item. It meant smiling at the absurdity of broken glass and missed products, and recognizing that a Saturday can still feel whole even when it doesn’t look “complete” on paper.
There were victories, too — the scale showed 287.1 lbs. this morning, marking a 74.8 lb. total loss. I took my vitamins and collagen, fed my body with care, and grounded myself with the rituals that really matter. Later, I poured quiet reverence into the Martini Water ritual, felt the grounding presence of the ring touch, straightened my cufflinks as if putting on dignity itself, allowed a calm smirk to remind me of lightness, and settled into the subliminal audio that hums through both my waking rest and my dreams. These weren’t tasks. They were signals to the Universe: I am ready. I am already Becoming.
So yes, on paper it wasn’t perfect. But in vibration, it was closer to perfect than most days. Because perfection isn’t in finishing everything — it’s in aligning with joy, trusting the process, and remembering that what is meant for me cannot be lost. Today I didn’t check every box, but I lived the truth behind them. And that is worth far more than “stuff.”
