    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

Today, a single pear hanging on our tree gave me something to think about. In a photograph I’d taken earlier, there it was, high on the right, still attached to its branch. I started imagining what its life might have been like when the tree was full of other pears. They had grown together, shared the sunshine and rain, and moved together in the wind. Then, one by one, the others disappeared. Some were picked, some fell, and perhaps the deer found a few. Eventually, the neighborhood grew quiet.

That became the idea for Sunday’s YouTube video, “The Last Pear.” We developed a narration in the style of my autumn-leaves video, starting with an ordinary observation and gradually moving into thoughts about getting older, missing people, and wondering what comes next. There was even a little humor about the pear possibly enjoying a perfectly good afternoon while I gave him an entire existential crisis. The ending stayed with me: I was looking up at him, wondering how his story would end. But it hadn’t ended. And neither had mine.

I worked on the narration, an ElevenLabs version, YouTube metadata, and several thumbnails with just one word: “Remaining.” We tried a photographic version, pop art, a Norman Rockwell-inspired treatment, and a more dramatic image of the pear illuminated against a dark sky. It was interesting to see how many different moods could come from the same small subject in our yard.

A good portion of the day also went into making my Universal Planner easier to understand. The overlapping menus had become confusing, so we combined them into one called “My Planner.” I wanted a clear routine: start my day, select a task, track the time, save my day, and review the week on Sunday. We briefly tried putting explanations beside every menu item, but I preferred the shorter names. I did keep the new separator that grouped the Growth Lab tools together.

The timer needed attention too. A momentary notification wasn’t enough to remind me that it was running, so we added a persistent banner showing the project and start time. I suggested red with white text to make it stand out. We also connected the fitness-action dropdown to the headings in my actual Becoming Fit Program. Deleting and recreating a row caused another problem with the totals, which led to a formula repair. These are small details, but they matter when I want to spend my time doing things instead of figuring out how to record them.

I weighed 349.2 pounds today. I also decided to try reporting what I eat through conversation rather than using another app for now. I don’t need a special phrase or a formal entry every time. I can simply say what I had, and we can assemble an approximate record. If my weight stops moving down, I’ll reconsider whether I need more detailed tracking.

2026-10-25 - Monopoly Coffee

My food included air-fried potatoes, homemade chili, and chili tacos made with the 90-calorie keto tortillas. Over the course of the day and late evening, I had seven tortillas altogether. I also had tomato, pickles, salad, and two Zevia Colas. We discussed bean-and-date cookies, removing the almonds, adding ground flaxseed, and trying chickpeas instead. Those stayed at the recipe-discussion stage, but I did make a sweet chickpea snack in the air fryer with vanilla, cinnamon, and stevia.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take the chickpeas with me when I went out. At McDonald’s, I bought the five-dollar meal with a hamburger, small fries, and a large “Monopoly” coffee with two oat creamers and a Splenda (see photo to the right). I wished I’d brought my snack because I probably wouldn’t have bought the hamburger. Later, back home, I ate the chickpeas. That gave me a practical lesson: preparing food and remembering to bring it are two separate jobs.

The evening was emotionally difficult. Around 10:30, driving home from McDonald’s, I recorded a very angry message to the Universe. The feeling that I couldn’t change anything all came pouring out. I felt alone, frustrated, and deeply disappointed in the promises of manifestation. At 66, I was thinking about the years behind me and wondering how many more I could spend feeling this way.

I don’t want to tidy that up and pretend I finished the night with everything resolved. I didn’t. I was angry and hurting. Earlier, I had helped write a hopeful story about a pear whose life was still unfolding, and later I struggled to feel that same possibility in my own life.

Both belonged to today. I made something, improved a tool, prepared food, and tried to understand my habits. I also had a painful evening that none of those accomplishments could simply erase. The line from the pear story feels harder now than it did when we wrote it, but I still want to keep it: his story hadn’t ended. And neither has mine.
