Daily Notes

This afternoon I tried something new to eat. I mixed some of my raw potato hashbrowns with egg whites in the Griddler and let it go for 15 minutes. The result was a crispy treat (see photo to the right). Add a bit of homemade ketchup? Delish!
Today was one of those quiet-yet-profound Becoming days. Nothing exploded. Nothing demanded. But so much got done — and more importantly, noticed. I started the morning with discipline: a weigh-in, my whisper ritual, and another log entry — this time about joy as the signal, not the prize. Those simple anchors set the tone. I didn’t rush the process. I leaned into it.
This afternoon my daughter and I took a drive through Courtenay/Comox. We weren’t planning anything big — just coffee and talk — but that ride became a soul checkpoint. We talked about honesty, safety, and how to show up for each other in conversations that matter. She told me what helps her feel safe, and I listened, fully present. That alone could’ve been the win of the day.
I turned this drive into today’s “mini encounter journal entry”, a “60 second visualization exercise”, and later a “one sentence update”: A woman outside Mudsharks, long coat, far-off gaze, standing like a character from a book. My daughter said exactly that: “She looks like someone in a book.” And we just… kept driving. Just like that, we might have passed Evie… Not in the dramatic way, but in the quiet way only someone becoming can notice.
Today was a day all about care. Water — all 10 cups. Dry brushing. Vitamins. Skin cream. Even psyllium husks. Each of those actions wasn’t just health-related — they were spiritual alignment disguised as self-care.
Later on: the martini water ritual, cufflink flick, and the Calm Smirk. These aren’t habits anymore — they’re identity signatures. I moved like a man who knows something is already on its way. I didn’t feel rushed.
The final touch for today? I let myself reflect on the idea that these last 25 days could be my finest. Not because I worked harder — but because I aligned cleaner. Today, that meant showing up for my daughter and finishing strong with integrity.
If this was the day that quietly changed everything… it wouldn’t surprise me at all.
