- ✅ #06: ☕ Over AM Coffee, say Terje’s Script! (*** NOTES ***) (11:41 pm!)
- #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
- #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
- #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
- #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
- #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
- #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
- #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes
I woke up this morning with one of those little dreams that doesn’t sound like much when you describe it, but somehow stays with you.
In the dream, I came down from the Barn Suite to the main house. There was an old, rickety lock on one of the doors. I turned it—and it opened. Then my daughter smiled at me and sang a beautiful high note.
That was it.
But considering I’ve been asking the Universe before sleep to teach me, encourage me, and show me what I need to understand, I couldn’t help wondering about that old lock. Maybe some of the things I’ve thought were locked away from me aren’t locked quite as securely as I’ve imagined. Maybe I don’t need to break the door down. Maybe, when the time is right, I just turn the lock.
And then comes the high note.
Not a bad way to start a Thursday.
By late morning, it was overcast outside and I was getting ready to take the kids to Landmark Cinemas for the 12:15-ish showing of The Odyssey. Before we left, I had my little conversation with the Universe: help me enjoy this time with the kids, give us some energy, maybe send us a wink or two, and keep helping me figure out this strange business of finding my passion and enjoying life while I’m actually living it. And off we went.

The Odyssey turned into a nearly three-hour adventure, and one particular creature sent my mind travelling back decades: the Cyclops. Seeing this dark, frightening modern version immediately made me think about the Cyclops from those old Sinbad movies I remembered from the 1960s. You can see the comparison on the ChatGPT graphic to the right. Today’s monsters can be incredibly realistic and disturbing, but there’s still something wonderful about those old stop-motion creatures. They weren’t realistic, exactly, but somehow they lived in your imagination.
Maybe that’s another kind of Becoming—discovering that the kid you used to be is still hiding somewhere inside the person you’ve become.
Later came a completely different kind of excitement.
Amazon.
I bought a significant amount of AMZN recently, and after today’s closing bell Amazon reported earnings. The stock had already finished the regular session at $235.50, up 3.9%. Then after hours it suddenly shot up to around $258—another 9.5%.
Now, after-hours prices can disappear just as quickly as they appear, and tomorrow will tell the real story. But tonight?
I’ll take it.
There’s something particularly satisfying about making an investment decision, wondering whether you’ve got it right, and then watching the market seemingly say, at least for one evening, “Yep. Not bad.”
I also watched Andrew Taylor’s 100-day SpudFit update today. He talked about losing more than 70 pounds eating potatoes, but what interested me most wasn’t really the number on the scale. It was his description of changing his relationship with food. Food had stopped controlling his thoughts. It had become fuel. His health improved, his joint pain disappeared, he slept better, exercised regularly, and even talked about improvements in depression and anxiety.
That’s the part of these stories I keep coming back to.
The transformation isn’t really about potatoes.
It’s about discovering that you can become somebody different from the person you thought you were stuck being.
Tonight I ended up at one of my familiar haunts: McDonald’s. Black coffee with one Splenda, my computer, and another journey into film history.
I’ve now made it to the two-hour point of the 1915 film The Birth of a Nation.
It’s certainly not an easy movie to watch. Its racism and distorted portrayal of American history are appalling, but its enormous influence on filmmaking makes it something I’ve wanted to experience for myself rather than merely read about. So tonight, sitting in McDonald’s more than 110 years after audiences first watched it, I pushed a little farther through.
And that was Thursday.
A strange mixture when I put it all together: an old lock opening in a dream, Katie singing a high note, an afternoon at the movies with my kids, memories of 1960s Cyclopes, potatoes and personal transformation, Amazon suddenly leaping after hours, and a 111-year-old silent movie playing on my screen at McDonald’s.
None of it sounds like some enormous life-changing event.
But maybe that’s the point.
I’ve spent a lot of time wondering when the big thing is going to happen. When will I find my passion? When will something change? When will the Universe give me the unmistakable sign?
Maybe Becoming doesn’t always announce itself that way.
Sometimes it’s taking your kids to a movie.
Sometimes it’s watching another twenty minutes of something you’ve decided to finish.
Sometimes it’s learning from somebody else’s experiment.
Sometimes it’s making a decision and seeing it work out.
And sometimes it’s simply dreaming about an old, rickety lock that you’ve assumed was keeping you out…
only to discover that when you finally put your hand on it,
it opens.
