    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

Today turned out to be one of those days where nothing earth-shattering happened, yet by the end of it I felt like I had quietly moved my life forward in several meaningful ways.

The morning began with another conversation with the Universe before heading out the door. It was a beautiful sunny day, and I expressed gratitude for the weather while asking for something I’ve been asking for quite a while now—a simple little wink. A toonie, perhaps, or some other small, natural sign that reminds me I’m not walking this path entirely alone. More than anything, I asked for clarity: clarity about my true passion, happiness, and a day free from accidents or unnecessary setbacks.

2026-07-15 - Spare Keys

My first stop was the dentist, which thankfully went smoothly. From there I headed to a locksmith near Canadian Tire to finish off a project I’d started the night before. After installing a new locking doorknob on the back door of the main house, I had several duplicate keys cut so there would always be backups if one was misplaced (see photo to the right). While I was there, I also had a spare key made for my new Eskute T300 e-trike. It was one of those simple errands that doesn’t make headlines, but it brought a surprising amount of peace of mind. Later, I even labeled the new house key so I’d always know exactly what it belonged to.

Since I was already at Canadian Tire, I wandered inside and picked up something else that had been on my list: a bicycle helmet for the e-trike. Better yet, it happened to be on sale, so I saved ten dollars. Sometimes the universe doesn’t send a toonie—it sends a small discount instead. I’ll happily take either one.

Back at home, I continued my recent streak of tackling little household improvements. This evening I installed a new locking doorknob on my son’s bedroom door. The matte black finish looks surprisingly sharp against the dark wood, and it felt satisfying to complete another project that, not long ago, I probably would have hired someone else to do. My daughter’s bedroom door will be next, although that one will require a little woodworking with a chisel before I can install the same style of lock. One project at a time.

As evening arrived, I found myself back at McDonald’s with my usual black coffee. It’s become something of a familiar place to pause, think, and reflect. Yet tonight there was a quiet sadness mixed in with the routine. Sitting there alone, I realized once again that it’s not really the coffee I wish I were sharing—it’s the conversation, the companionship, and the simple joy of having someone beside me during life’s ordinary moments. Even so, I reminded myself that I’m still moving forward. Every repaired lock, every organized key, every lesson learned, and every small improvement is helping shape the person I’m becoming. Perhaps one day someone special will appreciate that these quiet evenings were part of the journey that led me to her.

Later in the day, my curiosity wandered in a completely different direction. I learned that the Netflix series my dental hygienist had described was Obliterated, a story that begins after an elite team believes they’ve successfully disarmed a bomb in Las Vegas, only to discover the real threat is still out there while they’re recovering from an all-night celebration. It sounded like an entertaining blend of action and comedy and may end up on my watch list.

Music also entered the conversation as I read more about Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis. Their legendary sibling rivalry has fascinated fans for decades, driven by clashing personalities, creative differences, and years of public disagreements. I also discovered they have an older brother, Paul, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight despite occasionally writing and speaking about the family’s history.

Finally, I watched an interview with former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo. His outlook on artificial intelligence was both fascinating and sobering. He argued that AI could surpass human intelligence before the end of the decade and warned that society is largely unprepared for the consequences. Whether or not his predictions prove accurate, the interview served as a reminder that AI isn’t simply another technology—it’s something that could reshape nearly every aspect of civilization within my lifetime. It certainly gave me plenty to think about.

Looking back, today wasn’t about dramatic breakthroughs. It was about taking care of practical responsibilities, learning something new, improving my home, preparing for future adventures on the e-trike, and continuing to ask life’s biggest questions. As I’ve been discovering more and more lately, becoming isn’t always about giant leaps. Often it’s simply the quiet accumulation of small, thoughtful steps taken consistently, one day at a time.
