- #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
- #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
- #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
- #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
- #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
- #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
- #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes
Today had that familiar mixture of ordinary life and possibility that seems to keep finding its way into my days lately. Nothing earth-shattering happened, at least not yet, but there were little things scattered throughout the day that made it feel as though life was still moving, still opening, still becoming.
I started the day out and about, including some time at McDonald’s. I actually tried to record one of my little messages to the Universe while I was there, but there was so much background noise that the recording kept getting jumbled. Eventually I gave up and waited until I was somewhere quieter. It was a cloudy sort of day outside, and when I finally recorded my message it was 11:48 in the morning.

One thing I’ve been noticing lately is staircases. With all the work I’ve been doing to strengthen my legs and gradually get myself back toward walking hills and doing more physically, I spotted a huge outdoor concrete staircase climbing up a hillside (see photo to the right). Not so long ago, I might simply have seen stairs. Now I look at something like that and see a future challenge. As my legs loosen up and strengthen, it could become another place to test myself and measure how far I’ve come. There’s something satisfying about discovering these little landmarks around town that can become part of my rehabilitation.
I stopped at Thrifty Foods afterward and indulged in a little lottery adventure. I bought a Blackjack scratch ticket and a Gold Rush. Neither one produced anything, unfortunately, but those weren’t really the interesting tickets anyway. I also bought tickets that gave me something to look forward to over three successive nights: Daily Grand tonight, Lotto Max tomorrow night, and Lotto 6/49 on Saturday. Three nights of possibility. Three little opportunities to wonder, “What if?”
The lottery wasn’t really the whole story, though. Earlier I’d also been thinking again about Andrew Taylor and Spud Fit. I watched material from Andrew’s World Vegan Day experience in Melbourne, and what stood out wasn’t simply that he ate potatoes while surrounded by all kinds of tempting vegan festival food. It was his explanation of what had driven him toward the potato experiment in the first place. He’d spent years trying diets, succeeding temporarily, deciding he could handle one piece of cake or one slice of pizza, and then watching that little exception turn into a binge. Eventually he began wondering whether his real problem wasn’t knowing how to diet at all, but his relationship with food and his inability to make moderation work.
That continues to resonate with me. The fascinating thing about Spud Fit isn’t really the potato. It’s the idea of taking food out of the entertainment business for a while—removing the endless decisions, negotiations, rewards and temptations and making eating extraordinarily simple. I’m still thinking about what that might mean for me.
I also watched a video about grocery shopping and the cost of living in the Philippines, particularly around Dumaguete. That remains interesting because the reality is more nuanced than simply saying, “The Philippines is cheap.” Some things are inexpensive, some familiar Western products cost considerably more, and knowing where to shop makes a tremendous difference. Public markets, supermarkets and specialty import stores all have their place. It’s another reminder that actually living somewhere is very different from visiting it as a tourist.
Tonight I also settled in with an episode of the original Kung Fu, “The Praying Mantis Kills.” Caine continues to fascinate me because so much of his strength comes from what he doesn’t do. He possesses tremendous ability, yet the real discipline is restraint—the ability to govern himself before attempting to govern circumstances. It’s interesting how easily that connects, at least in my mind, with some of the other things I’ve been exploring through Neville Goddard, Wallace Wattles and this whole idea of becoming. They aren’t teaching the same philosophy, but there’s a recurring thread: what happens inside us matters enormously to what we eventually do outside ourselves.
And Wattles was very much part of the background of today too. I’ve now got The Science of Becoming Loved sitting there on LOA.Codes—the strange little offspring of Maggie Murphy pointing me toward Wallace Wattles and me wondering what would happen if Wattles’ rejection of scarcity were applied not merely to money but to love. What if love isn’t something I need to regard as a dwindling resource? What if the fact that I haven’t found the relationship I want yet isn’t evidence that it isn’t there for me? That’s become another branch of this Already Becoming experiment.
Later tonight there was some mundane technology thrown into the mix when an HEIC photograph in an iPhone group conversation stubbornly refused to download. The phone knew the picture existed, knew its size, and yet sat there displaying zero kilobytes downloaded. Another tiny modern-life mystery to solve.
So that’s Thursday. McDonald’s. Cloudy skies. A staircase waiting for stronger legs. Thrifty Foods. Two losing scratch tickets. Three draw tickets carrying three nights of possibility. Andrew Taylor and his potatoes. Thoughts about the Philippines. Kids and school and my wife coming home. Shamanic drums. Kwai Chang Caine. Wallace Wattles. Neville Goddard. Love, money, health, food, family, technology and the possibility that somewhere inside all these seemingly unrelated pieces, a life is gradually changing.
And somewhere nearby sits a little Daily Grand ticket.
Maybe it’s worth nothing.
Maybe it’s worth something.
At the moment, I don’t know.
And for tonight, there’s something rather enjoyable about still not knowing.
Same Life. Still Becoming.
