Daily Notes
It would appear that the vegan diet I am currently on is good for maintenance, but not losing weight. In fact, I’m practically at the same weight I was at last week at this time. I’ll give it another week, and then I think I will experiment with some version of the potato diet till I hit my ideal weight.
FRUIT FLIES! These pesky little critters have taken over the “Barn Suite”. I think I had an old apple core or banana peel or something, and they seem to have bred like crazy. A couple have flown up my nose, and one actually flew down my throat yesterday! I prefer to get my protein from other sources.
The other day I purchased a nifty little device at Home Depot that shines a blue light. The fruit flies are attracted to it and get stuck in the fly paper. Well, it works, I can see some flies, but it doesn’t get as many as I have flying around.
Yesterday I went down to the donkey stalls and got some fly paper and strung it up in the kitchen area. I don’t see any flies on it, yet… Having said that, I experimented with a bowl of apple cider vinegar & lemon juice (see photo to the right), and I see quite a few fruit flies in that. Maybe this is the best solution?
In the meantime, I went to Home Depot today and bought a little desk fan. This will at least blow a nice little breeze so that these pesky little nuisances have a hard time flying and will hopefully not go down my throat or up my nose anymore!
Enough of dieting and fruit flies. I did manage to get my morning and afternoon meditations in today, but not much else…
