    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

Today turned out to be one of those days where a whole collection of seemingly unrelated things—coffee, manifestation, OneDrive files, Maggie Murphy, a spare e-trike key, my kids, diet experiments, rabbits, old television, and music—all somehow fit together into the larger project of figuring out what I want the rest of my life to look like.

I spent quite a bit of time today working on my Universal Planner, this time creating a new project to tackle the enormous job of downloading and checking my old OneDrive files from January 2000 through December 2025. We developed a Google Apps Script that creates 312 monthly tasks, beginning with 2000-01-JAN and ending with 2025-12-DEC, with one month scheduled per day beginning July 20, 2026. I wanted it to resemble my Kung Fu television-series tracker, complete with Health, Due Date, Overall Progress, Today’s Next Action, yearly components, priorities, statuses, and notes. There were a few annoying formatting problems along the way—including that mysterious gray line extending across the spreadsheet—but we eventually traced it to the frozen-row divider and removed it. I also changed my planned dates so they show the weekday—2026-07-20-Mon, 2026-07-21-Tue, and so on. Later I discovered the yearly Done/Total/Progress calculations weren’t updating because I’d changed my task descriptions to begin with “Download & Check,” meaning the formulas needed to account for that additional text. Another little programming mystery solved.

The AI Diet v1.04 experiment continued too. I’ve completed the initial 30 days and today introduced unlimited stevia/Splenda for a one-week test to see what happens to my weight. I had some air-fryer fries with French’s ketchup sweetened with stevia, and later tonight I came to McDonald’s and redeemed just enough points for a medium black coffee with two Splenda. That’s actually a pretty good example of what I’m trying to accomplish with the diet: find something sustainable enough that I can still enjoy little rituals like sitting at McDonald’s with a coffee without turning it into a major calorie event.

I also worked on my little Cliffe Avenue bunny story today. The other day I’d noticed two little black rabbits calmly eating grass between busy Cliffe Avenue and the sidewalk while cars and people rushed past. They weren’t waiting for perfect grass or a perfectly peaceful environment. They were simply enjoying the grass that was right in front of them. I condensed that idea into an under-60-second piece for my Becoming project: maybe happiness doesn’t always require finding the perfect place, and maybe peace doesn’t require a peaceful world. Sometimes it’s simply about being present wherever we happen to be. We also worked on the metadata and added Chapter #19 to my ebook, along with a graphic for the chapter.

There were some fun diversions as well. We talked about Groot and Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy—including why Rocket looks like a raccoon. I also went down another one of my historical-TV rabbit holes with the famous Lester Maddox walk-off on The Dick Cavett Show and looked into who else appeared on that particular program. That led into Truman Capote and some confusion over names associated with the broadcast. Earlier I also asked about some of Hollywood’s most notorious alcoholics. In other words, a pretty typical day for me: one minute Google Apps Script, the next minute Dick Cavett, and shortly afterward manifestation philosophy!

2026-07-20 - McD Coffee + 2 Splendas

I went to McDonalds this evening and had a black coffee, but this time with “2 Splenda” since I’m allowed UNLIMITED SPLENDA this week (see photo to the right).

While at McDonalds, the deepest part of today came from watching Maggie Murphy—the “Neville Goddess.” Something about her interpretation of Neville Goddard really clicked with me. Maggie says she often finds words easier than elaborate visualization. Instead of constructing some complicated imaginary movie, she’ll imagine herself later talking naturally to another person after everything has already worked out. If she were learning piano, for example, she might imagine herself saying something like, “Can you believe how good you can get at piano in only a year?” The sentence itself implies that the accomplishment has already happened.

That immediately made me think about my toonie experiment. Instead of searching desperately or continually asking whether I’m going to find one, perhaps I could leave McDonald’s tonight with the playful assumption: “Wow, that was easier than I thought. I found my toonie.” Or imagine telling my daughter afterward, “You’ll never believe it—I found my toonie after leaving McDonald’s. It happened so easily.” Not forcing anything. Not treating tonight as some pass/fail test of the universe. Just briefly experiencing the perspective of looking backward from the desired result.

Then I had what may have been my most important thought of the day. Don’t merely imagine yourself saying, “Well, that was easier than I thought.” Go one step further and realize how terrific it would actually feel if something you’ve hoped for—perhaps something you’ve almost considered impossible—really did happen. Think about the excitement, gratitude and amazement. And then imagine what that experience could do to your confidence about everything else.

You might suddenly find yourself thinking:

“If THAT happened… what else is possible?”

That may be more important than the manifestation itself. One wonderful experience could expand my sense of possibility for whatever comes afterward.

Another Maggie video added an important counterbalance: action still matters. She argued that Neville’s famous idea of “not lifting a finger” shouldn’t be interpreted as sitting around doing absolutely nothing. She connected Neville with Wallace Wattles and The Science of Getting Rich: hold the vision, assume the desired outcome is possible, but act where you are today. The difference is the state from which you’re acting. Desperate, frightened action can feel like dragging yourself through cement. Action taken from confidence and purpose can feel natural—even exhilarating. Don’t try to accomplish tomorrow’s work today. Don’t frantically perform a hundred inefficient actions. Do what can reasonably be done today, and do it well.

That seems particularly relevant to me. I have my Seed Document with more than seventy-five possibilities. I have my diet, guitar, Becoming videos, ebook, Universal Planner, OneDrive archive, Kung Fu project, Coffee Club, e-trike, family, and all the bigger questions about happiness. Perhaps I don’t have to solve all of it today.

Earlier I actually spoke to the Universe about exactly that. I’m tired of feeling like life’s punching bag. I want to become one of those people who somehow comes out on top—not by defeating everybody else, but by developing the outlook, habits and confidence that allow me to build a genuinely good life. I asked for help finding my bliss, finding my purpose, becoming happier, and perhaps getting a few little “winks” along the way.

I continued thinking about what comes next. Even something as ordinary as asking about the best online music store in Canada connects with the bigger picture. Long & McQuade remains the obvious choice for me, particularly because there’s one right here in Courtenay. Guitar is still waiting for me. “Sultans of Swing” is still waiting for me. There are things I can actually do rather than merely dream about doing.

Maybe that’s what today was really about.

Imagine the end. Feel how wonderful it would be. Believe that more may be possible than you currently realize—but then get up and do today’s part.

And if something wonderful really does happen?

Stop for a moment and appreciate it.

Because perhaps the most useful thing you can carry forward from that experience is the thought:

“If that happened… what else is possible?”
