    • #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

Today was one of those days where a handful of seemingly unrelated experiences all pointed toward the same underlying question: What might the next chapter of my life look like?

The morning began with a Coffee Club meeting with an entrepreneur originally from Montreal who has spent most of his life in Vancouver. We met at a coffee shop in Cumberland and had an enjoyable conversation. While I don’t think he’s quite as interested in manifestation, consciousness, or the Law of Assumption as I am, it was still a worthwhile connection. One of the things I appreciate about this Coffee Club experiment is that it keeps introducing me to people I never would have met otherwise. Every conversation broadens my perspective a little bit.

The conversation then took an unexpected but fascinating turn toward education and technology. He mentioned the possibility of taking the British Columbia Grade 6 curriculum and integrating it into a Roblox game so that my son could effectively learn by playing. The more we explored the idea, the more exciting it became. We realized that building the entire curriculum would be a huge undertaking, but creating one polished “vertical slice”—perhaps an adventure centered around fractions—could be completed in about four weeks. Instead of making a game that felt like homework, the goal would be to create something that genuinely felt like an adventure, where learning happened almost invisibly as the player solved puzzles and completed quests. The idea of combining education, programming, AI, and game design into a meaningful project really sparked my imagination.

On the way home I snapped some pictures of roadside farmers stands for Wes, who is building an app (see photo to the right).

After getting home, yesterday’s adventures on my new Eskute T300 e-trike caught up with me. Between learning the bike, riding it around in the dark, and getting used to how it handles, I was surprisingly tired and ended up sleeping for much of the afternoon. By evening I felt refreshed and ready to tackle a few projects around the house, beginning with replacing a stubborn doorknob.

That project turned into more of an adventure than expected. I removed the obvious screws, took off the cover plates, and then hit a wall trying to figure out how the lock came apart. After several attempts, photos, and even a visit to Home Depot to compare it with similar models, I discovered that concealed-screw lever locks can hide their release mechanisms in different ways depending on the manufacturer. Rather than continue wrestling with the old lock, I decided that replacing it with a standard keyed doorknob would probably be the simplest solution. Sometimes the easiest path really is the best one. I finished this little project this evening.

As often happens these days, my thoughts drifted back to the Philippines. While relaxing with my usual evening black coffee at McDonald’s, I watched several videos about retiring there. One particularly compelling story followed an American millionaire who left a luxurious retirement in Florida after realizing that wealth alone couldn’t replace purpose or community. He eventually settled in a small Philippine fishing town, where he found meaning by helping local people with his mechanical skills rather than simply living comfortably. That story resonated with me because it suggested that the real question isn’t “Where can I retire the cheapest?” but rather “Where can I build a life that feels meaningful?”

That naturally led me to explore Philippine citizenship. I learned that while foreigners generally cannot own land, they can lease it long-term, own condominiums under certain conditions, or potentially become citizens through naturalization after meeting strict residency and legal requirements. Since I’m already a citizen of Canada, the United States, and Australia, I even wondered whether a fourth citizenship might someday be possible. Legally, it may be—but I also realized that citizenship isn’t necessarily the first question I should be asking. The wiser path would likely be to spend significant time living there first, renting rather than buying, and discovering whether the Philippines truly feels like home before making any permanent decisions.

As the evening came to a close, I found myself once again sitting in McDonald’s with a hot black coffee, watching videos about possibilities for the future and quietly waiting for one of those little “winks” from the Universe. The elusive toonie still hasn’t appeared, but perhaps that’s beside the point. Today wasn’t really about finding a coin. It was about exploring new ideas—a better way to educate my son, the possibility of another country someday becoming home, and the reminder that meaningful connections, whether with people or places, usually grow best when they’re allowed to happen naturally.

Some days don’t change your life all at once. Instead, they plant several interesting seeds. Today felt like one of those days. And perhaps that’s enough for now.
