In the “wee hours” this morning I finished putting my AI generated images into my “FREE” Diet Guide! Now to set up some sort of an autoresponder to market it.

This morning I woke up heavy. No dream to carry forward, no whisper remembered from the night. But as the day moved forward, I chose something different: instead of destiny and soulmates, I asked simply for a Toonie. That became my lighthearted experiment, my invitation to the Universe to play instead of preach.

The numbers tell the story too: 361.9 – 287.4 = 74.5 lbs lost. I marked it proudly in my log — Down More Each Day. Metamucil three times, vitamins swallowed in their precise order, collagen stirred into water at 5:35 pm, face routine and Dove Pro-Retinol in the evening. Each tick in the list is more than habit — it’s proof of consistency, the one thing every failed diet before this lacked.

2025-09-11 - Oiled Cutting Board

The Barn Suite got its fifteen minutes too. I built my wax-paper-and-duct-tape oiler system and let the cutting board drink in mineral oil until it gleamed (see photo to the right). A kind of metaphor, I think — saturating the grain until it can’t help but shine. Even wood responds to patience and oil. Why wouldn’t I?

The rituals rounded out the day: the martini water at 7:00, ring touch and whisper at 10:53, cufflink adjustment at 10:54, the calm smirk a minute later. I finished with the nighttime subliminal, “Kirk & Evie” whispering beneath the edge of sleep. These small gestures are stones in the path — each one, on its own, is nothing; together they are Becoming.

Thursday’s weekly focus came through too. The Kirk & Evie photo update, the 5:45 pm YouTube short on potatoes, and even an “Inspiring Aging” video (today it was “Ripped 50+ Year Old”) — each piece reinforcing the rhythm I’m building.

What mattered most was that today, I played. I let myself ask for a Toonie. I let myself be surprised. And in doing so, I gave myself permission to believe again, not in destiny’s weight, but in the Universe’s laughter.
