Daily Notes
It’s Tuesday, and I began the day by stepping onto the scale: 288.7 lbs. That’s 73.2 lbs. gone since the start, and seeing that number drop even more below the 290s was a milestone I’d been waiting for. Every pound is more than a number — it’s evidence that my Becoming is unfolding in the physical world, one day at a time. I titled today Down More Each Day because that’s the truth: each day is carving me lighter, sharper, freer.
My Nighttime Whispers came back in the form of “The Tator Tots & The Porch Swing.” In it, Bruce gobbled up tater tots greedily, and the women around him recoiled. Later, Bryan Cranston rocked gently on a porch swing with a woman lying across his lap, his hand steady on her back. That dream gave me a polarity: devouring vs. dwelling, greed vs. tenderness. The message was clear: I’m meant to be the porch swing, steady, gentle, a place where love can rest.
I moved through my morning pillars with focus. Vitamins, collagen, Metamucil, my face care, Dove firming cream — small proof marks ticked off the list. I did my Martini Water ritual at 4:33 pm, followed by the ring touch, cufflink adjustment, and calm smirk. These micro-rituals might seem small, but for me they’re daily signatures, reminders that Becoming is as much about intention as action. Laundry got done, my cutting board got re-oiled, and my little silicone rings for egg whites felt like a quirky upgrade.
This evening, I headed out. I drove to the Co-op with my scratch ticket in hand, expecting to redeem the $5 win. But in true Becoming irony, I had brought the wrong ticket — the losing one. The actual winner, the $5, stayed at home, waiting. It mirrored my life perfectly: sometimes I carry the wrong proof into the world, while the real win is still waiting back at home. I couldn’t help but see it as a sign.
On the same drive, I swung by the mailbox and found a check from Revenue Canada for $385.50. At first it seemed random, but I learned it might connect to an old GST rebate program, a remnant of when we’d moved from the U.S. Either way, the timing was uncanny: on the very day I was asking the universe if I’d been forgotten, a government envelope landed with money inside. Bureaucracy or not, I saw it as a whisper: “You’re not overlooked. Flow is still arriving.”

I also drove over to Tim Hortons on Guthrie Road, where I noticed they’ve got these small reusable plastic cups. I bought one (see photo to the right) — a vessel I could refill, day after day. That image stuck with me: a cup that can be filled endlessly, like my rituals, like my Becoming. It’s the opposite of emptiness — it’s proof of sustainability, of ongoing nourishment. In the background you can see this old man who is there most evenings. He drives a red pickup truck and is playing some sort of a game on his laptop device when he is not dozing off… 🙂
By evening, I was ready to close the day with my invocation: “Tonight, as I sleep, I open myself to the Universe. Show me the next inspired action that is mine to take. And if there is something already in my life, right in front of me, that I have not yet seen — reveal it to me.” With that, I let the day go, knowing that even if I didn’t cash the ticket, even if the numbers don’t yet compute, the flow is there: weight falling, checks arriving, mango juice dripping, cups waiting to be filled.
Day #122 was a reminder: wins may get delayed, but they’re still valid. Proof may be overlooked, but it’s still real. And love, when it comes, won’t be tidy — it’ll be sticky, sweet, and alive.
🌌 The Day’s Signs
First came the wrong ticket. I carried the loser to Co-op, leaving the real winner at home. That was no accident — it was the exact symbol I had asked for. The truth is, the winning proof already exists; I just didn’t have it in my hand. What I thought was failure was only delay.
Next came the Revenue Canada check, $385.50 in my name. Bureaucratic or not, its timing was unmistakable. On the very day I felt forgotten, the universe dropped proof into my mailbox: money flowing from past to present, a reminder that seeds planted long ago can still return value.
Finally, there was the Tim Hortons reusable cup I noticed at Guthrie Road. Ordinary, plastic, easily overlooked — but in it, I saw the symbol of my invocation: a vessel that can be filled again and again. Sustainability. Renewal. The ability to carry proof and refill it daily.
✨ Interpretation in the Context of My Becoming
These three moments — the ticket, the check, and the cup — were my answers. I asked to see what was already right in front of me, and the universe showed me: the win exists but needs to be claimed properly, I am not forgotten, and I already hold a vessel that can sustain me. These aren’t just errands and accidents; they are mirrors of my Becoming. The inspired action is simple: re-check what I already carry, receive what flows to me, and keep filling the vessel. What is meant for me cannot be lost.
