- ✅ #06: ☕ Over AM Coffee, say Terje’s Script! (*** NOTES ***) (10:26 am!)
- #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
- #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
- #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
- #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
- #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
- #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
- #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes
Today turned out to be a day about ideas—testing them, letting go of one, and becoming intrigued by another.
One of the biggest developments was finally reaching a conclusion on The Next Chapter, the project I’d been testing as a possible business for people entering the second half of life. I had created a landing page around the question, “What if your most meaningful years haven’t happened yet?” and offered a free 10-minute exercise with seven questions designed to help people think about what they wanted from the years ahead. The form worked, the Facebook ad worked, and people were actually reaching the page. The final numbers were 2,823 impressions, 2,342 people reached, and 102 landing-page views at a remarkably inexpensive $0.26 each. The problem was that not one of those 102 people signed up.
So I decided that was enough information. I had budgeted $100 for the experiment but only needed to spend $26.86 to get my answer. Rather than continuing to throw money and time at something people weren’t responding to, I turned off the ad and officially shelved The Next Chapter. For the first time since creating my Universal Planner project system, I actually closed a project. I changed #0013 in my Command Center to a grey row, marked its status CLOSED, and renamed the project tab “📕 The Next Chapter [CLOSED].” There’s something surprisingly satisfying about that. The project didn’t succeed as a business idea, but the experiment itself succeeded perfectly: I had an idea, built the smallest reasonable version of it, put it in front of strangers, collected real-world evidence, and made a decision.

Earlier today I also met Annie through the Comox Valley Coffee Club at Mudsharks (see photo to the right).
Another unexpected rabbit hole opened today around an idea I’d actually considered before moving to the Comox Valley: laser engraving. I’d once thought about starting a little Vancouver Island craft business, and today the idea came back in a much more specific form. What if I created one beautiful wooden Comox Valley Christmas ornament every year? My first concept was an orca in the water with Vancouver Island mountains behind it, perhaps eventually featuring recognizable local places such as Goose Spit.
The more I thought about it, the more possibilities appeared. Local businesses might order customized versions with their company information and Christmas greeting on the back and give them to customers. Families might order 10 or 20 personalized ornaments as an unusual Christmas gift for parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents. And rather than trying to manufacture dozens of different laser products, perhaps this could even become a deliberately tiny seasonal business that does essentially one thing very well: create an annual collectible Vancouver Island Christmas ornament.
I also started thinking about the identity behind the artwork. If my daughter doesn’t have time to design them, perhaps I could create the designs myself with AI assistance and sign them under a separate artistic name. Perhaps one eventually becomes the artist’s identity and the other the collection name. Who knows?
And that’s an interesting contrast with how the day ended. One idea went into the Universal Planner today with a big CLOSED beside its name, while another little idea began quietly taking shape.
The Next Chapter wasn’t the next chapter after all.
Maybe that’s precisely why testing ideas matters. You don’t have to know which path is going to work before you start walking. Sometimes you follow one far enough to discover a dead end, turn around without regret, and notice another little trail you hadn’t seen before.
We’ll see where this one goes.
