📋Additional Daily Notes


Today was one of those satisfying days where several long-term projects quietly moved forward. Rather than focusing on one major accomplishment, the day was about building momentum—one project, one lesson, and one experience at a time.

I spent part of the day finishing Season 1 of Amazon Prime’s Fallout. The series turned out to be even more enjoyable than I expected, blending dark humor, action, mystery, and an intriguing post-apocalyptic world. The season finale answered some questions while opening the door to many more, particularly surrounding Lucy, The Ghoul, Hank, and the secrets of Vault-Tec. With Season 1 now complete, the next adventure is ready to begin: Season 2.

2026-07-07 - Beninos

Gaming occupied another good portion of the day as I continued exploring Grand Theft Auto V. Unfortunately, my adventures in Los Santos came to an abrupt halt when I somehow managed to crash the game. After trying the obvious fixes without success, I finally sent an email to Epic Games support asking for advice. Hopefully they’ll be able to get me back up and running soon.

Later in the day I stopped at Benino’s, where I enjoyed a coffee and the news on Drudge (see photo to the right) and spent some time relaxing before heading over to McDonald’s. Those quiet moments have become an enjoyable part of my routine—a chance to think, reflect, and simply slow life down for a while.

When I arrived at McDonald’s, another small act of kindness made the day even better. The manager, mentioned they had baked too many muffins and, rather than letting them go to waste, she packed up a nice box for me to take home to the kids. It was one of those simple, thoughtful gestures that costs very little but means a great deal.

One of the highlights of the day was continuing to build my Universal Planner, which is gradually becoming the central hub for organizing my life. I created two brand-new projects today. The first is a complete watch-through of the original 1972 Kung Fu television series, with each episode becoming its own scheduled task. Watching one episode each day should make steady progress easy while allowing me to appreciate the wisdom and storytelling that made the series such a classic.

The second project may become one of the most exciting I’ve ever undertaken. What originally started as “learning Sultans of Swing” evolved into something much bigger. After a long brainstorming session, I completely reframed the objective. Instead of simply learning one difficult song, the purpose now reads:

Become the guitarist capable of playing the Alchemy Live version of Sultans of Swing beautifully, confidently, and musically.

That single sentence changed the entire philosophy of the project. Rather than memorizing notes, the goal is to become the kind of guitarist for whom playing the song naturally becomes possible. The curriculum will eventually consist of roughly 250 carefully designed lessons, each one building a specific skill in a logical sequence. Every lesson will have a clear objective, explain why it matters, include carefully selected learning resources, define a simple 10-to-15-minute practice session, and establish clear success criteria before moving on. Instead of wondering what to practice each day, I’ll simply open the planner and trust the curriculum.

Looking back, today wasn’t really about finishing anything. It was about creating systems that will continue paying dividends for months and years to come. Whether it’s exploring the wasteland in Fallout, eventually mastering Sultans of Swing, rediscovering the timeless lessons of Kung Fu, or simply sharing a surprise box of muffins with the kids, each experience became another small piece of the larger life I’m intentionally building.

The Universal Planner continues to grow, but more importantly, it continues to shape how I approach life. Instead of chasing random goals, I’m creating thoughtful projects that allow me to improve a little every day. As my “Already Becoming” philosophy reminds me, the destination isn’t reached all at once—it is built, one lesson, one project, and one day at a time.
