    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.

    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

My leg was still acting up today, and that pretty much determined the shape of the day. The weather was overcast, I stayed home, and I considered putting my brace on if I needed it. By tonight, the confinement was really beginning to register: I’ve now spent two full days in the Barn Suite. I’m even missing McDonald’s! It’s funny how much those ordinary outings have become part of the rhythm of my life—the drive, getting a coffee, sitting there for a while, reading or working on something, seeing other people, and simply getting out into the world. When I can’t do it for a couple of days, I notice the absence.

Earlier this afternoon, around 1:20, I had one of my little conversations with the Universe. I was still thinking about finding the two loonies that together made the equivalent of the toonie I had been asking for. It was a small thing, but exactly the sort of playful wink I enjoy noticing. I also wondered whether Buzz and some of the other things appearing lately could somehow be part of a bridge of incidents whose meaning I can’t see yet. Mostly I asked for the basics that aren’t really basic at all: happiness, health, guidance, safety, and help moving in the right direction.

2026-09-04 - Neville

With my leg keeping me home, I had a couple of naps during the afternoon. While I slept, I had a long Neville Goddard video playing on the television (see photo to the right): “HEAR THIS While You SLEEP And You Will MANIFEST ANYTHING YOU DESIRE.” (see photo to the right). It came from a channel called AI Secrets of Neville Goddard, and after looking into it, it became apparent that I shouldn’t regard the entire three-hour presentation as an original Neville recording. It appears to be AI-created or adapted material based upon Neville’s teachings.

But what I heard in it really interested me.

The message I took from it was that perhaps I have been making manifestation more complicated than it needs to be. Before I even worry about assuming the wish fulfilled, visualizing perfectly, repeating affirmations or performing some elaborate technique, there is something more fundamental: rest. Just rest. Settle down internally and remember who I am supposed to be in Neville’s conception of things—the creator of my experience.

I could repeat a billion affirmations and perform a billion visualizations, but if underneath all of that I still feel that the thing is missing, all that effort may actually be reinforcing the absence. The feeling is the important part. There was an important distinction here, too. It isn’t quite, “I want this and I’m confident that eventually I’ll get it.” Neville takes it one step further: “It is done. It is mine. This is who I am now.”

That connected surprisingly well with the Maggie material I had been looking at earlier. Maggie’s approach was also much less about endlessly working at a desire. First determine whether I genuinely want something or whether I’m trying to use it to repair something inside myself. If it survives that examination, experience the fulfillment inwardly, impress it upon myself, and then release it. Stop desperately trying to make it happen.

Maybe there really is something in this idea of less effort.

At some point I was back in the considerably less peaceful world of Breaking Bad. I noticed that after Gus kills Victor with the box cutter, he later breaks his flip phone in two and throws it away. I wondered why. The answer is basically that Gus is treating the telephone as compromised. The entire situation has changed, Gale has been murdered, Victor has been seen at Gale’s apartment, and that particular communications channel has become a potential liability. Snapping the phone in half isn’t some foolproof way of eliminating electronic evidence—records may exist elsewhere—but dramatically it tells us everything we need to know about Gus. Something has become compromised. He eliminates it and moves on.

That sent me down another Breaking Bad rabbit hole. There were Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, El Camino and various little extras, and I started wondering whether I should watch the whole universe again.

I’ve already seen it all, so a second viewing could actually be quite different. This time I could experiment with something closer to chronological order. I could watch Better Call Saul through Season 6, Episode 9, “Fun and Games,” stop before the story moves completely into the post-Breaking Bad Gene Takavic period, watch all of Breaking Bad, immediately follow it with El Camino, and then return to Better Call Saul beginning with Season 6, Episode 10, “Nippy,” and finish Gene’s story.

I had temporarily forgotten exactly who Gene was. Gene Takavic is Saul Goodman after Breaking Bad—the balding, mustached Cinnabon employee in Omaha living under an assumed identity. Jimmy McGill became Saul Goodman, and Saul Goodman became Gene Takavic. I had also forgotten who Nippy was. There isn’t really a Nippy at all. The supposedly missing dog is part of Gene’s scheme to get close to Marion.

A chronological rewatch could be fascinating because I already know what happens. Instead of racing toward the next plot development, I could watch all the little details. Better Call Saul would also completely change the way I see Breaking Bad. I’d enter Walter White’s story already knowing the enormous history behind Mike, Gus, Hector, Saul and the cartel. In a way, Walter wanders into a criminal ecosystem that took years to construct and manages to blow virtually the whole damned thing apart in about two years.

I also continued experimenting with my HeyGen avatar today. I made a little test video with it. That second version immediately looked better to me.

And now, after midnight, I’m looking back at a day that was much quieter than my normal routine. No McDonald’s. No coffee-shop wandering. No driving around the Comox Valley. I’ve been essentially confined to the Barn Suite for two full days because of this leg, and I’m definitely ready to get back out into the world.

Yet quite a bit happened inside these walls. I slept with Neville playing in the background and came away thinking about the difference between effort and feeling. I explored Gus Fring’s ruthlessly methodical world and started contemplating a chronological journey through Breaking Bad all over again.

Maybe the Neville message was appropriate for today after all.

I couldn’t go anywhere. I couldn’t follow my normal routine. My leg essentially forced me to stop.

So I rested.

And somehow, there was still plenty going on.
