Day #1095 – (Thu., Aug. 27, 2026) – (ChatGPT #0481 – Grandma Dream!) (-27.2 lbs.)

It’s Thursday and my FIRST FULL DAY back in the Comox Valley since Monday! To celebrate here comes item #1 on my “ToDo List”: (You can use these symbols: ✅).

Remember, losing weight means:

  • No more joint pain.
  • Easier to get up/down stairs.
  • New clothes.
  • Socialize more.
  • Travel more.

So, keep motivated! Here goes:

Morning

  • #01: 📌 Work on Universal Planner! (Yep!)
  • ✅ #02: 😴 Record any Nighttime Whispers! (#99 – The One Who Was Listening!)
  • #03: 📈 Weigh yourself! (361.9 lbs. – 317.7 lbs. = 44.2 lbs. total weight loss.)

  • ✅ #06: ☕ Over AM Coffee, say Terje’s Script! (*** NOTES ***) (5:05 pm!)
    • #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
    • #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
    • #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
    • #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
    • #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

Today felt like one of those days when several seemingly unrelated threads somehow ended up circling around the same idea: the past, who I really am, and what might still be waiting ahead of me.

The biggest thing on my mind was the remarkable dream I had about my grandmother. Last night, before going to sleep, I had deliberately meditated and asked who my personal spiritual advisor might be. I had been thinking about Esther Hicks and her experiences with Theo and Abraham, and I wondered whether there might be someone—or something—that could provide that kind of guidance for me.

Then Grandma showed up.

What if some of the things I’ve believed about myself and life are bullshit? I’ve changed tremendously over the years—or at least I believe I have. I’m certainly not the bratty kid I sometimes was. I’ve spent decades reading, thinking, praying, meditating and trying to understand how life works.

Grandma finally looked up.

Her answer, as I remember it, was essentially that yes, people change—but there is also something fundamental about our character that remains. Our behaviour changes. Our understanding changes. But something underneath it all persists.

Then I woke up abruptly at 3:19 p.m.

I don’t know whether that was simply my subconscious producing an extraordinarily appropriate dream after my meditation or whether there was something more to it. I don’t need to decide that today. What interests me is the question the dream left behind:

What did Grandma see in me that has been there all along?

Maybe I’ve spent much of my life trying to become the right person when part of the journey is discovering the person who was already there. That certainly puts an interesting spin on the name AlreadyBecoming.

By 5:05 this afternoon, I was gradually getting paperwork organized and things cleared away. It was semi-overcast with some sunshine outside, and I decided mowing could wait. I thanked the Universe for the dream, for Tuesday’s Guess Who concert despite my disappointing encounter with Randy Bachman, and for yesterday morning’s Lumberjack Special at Denny’s.

I was also back on my diet today. I made cauliflower rice with some Kraft Dinner cheese powder mixed into it, and it was surprisingly tasty.

Meanwhile, Tuesday’s encounter with Randy was still rattling around in my head.

I wrote about seeing Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings together in Victoria, my fantastic Row 2 seat, and how much I’d anticipated the VIP experience. Most importantly, I finally told the story I had been trying to tell Randy Tuesday night—the one I’ve carried around since Winnipeg around 1989 or 1990.

Tonight I went to McDonalds for a coffee and ended up getting a $5 McValue meal (see photo to the right).

I spent some time tonight talking about something completely different: Genshin Impact. My son and daughter play it online, and I began wondering whether I should quietly learn how to play it myself.

I rather like the idea.

The plan is to play for about an hour a day, starting from scratch and gradually learning the world, controls, combat, characters and story. When I eventually reach Adventure Rank 16 and unlock Co-Op Mode, I won’t announce some great gaming accomplishment.

I’ll surprise the kids.

“By the way… what’s your Genshin UID?”

I liked the idea enough that I decided it deserves its own project in my Universal Planner: #0018 — Genshin Impact: Road to AR16. Unlike some of my enormous open-ended projects, this one has a very simple finish line: learn enough to reach AR16, unlock co-op, tell the kids, and play with them.

Maybe that’s actually one of today’s lessons.

Not everything worthwhile has to become a gigantic life mission.

Sometimes it’s learning your children’s game so you can spend time in their world.

Sometimes it’s finally telling a 35-year-old story.

Sometimes it’s asking a question before falling asleep and dreaming about your grandmother quietly listening from the other side of the room.

I don’t know whether Grandma was my answer.

I don’t know whether I’ll end up loving Genshin Impact or be hopelessly confused by it.

And perhaps tonight I don’t need to know.

The questions are interesting enough.

And maybe the stories aren’t finished yet.
