- #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
- #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
- #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.
- #4) Meetings – Take a few moments each day to talk through your life with them — what’s ahead today, what you’re worried about, what you want, where you feel stuck, and where you’d appreciate support or clarity.
- #5) Asking – Ask first for emotional relief and inner calm, then ask for solutions, guidance, pop-ins, signs, opportunities, ideas, or small favors. Ask openly without demanding exact outcomes or trying to control how the answer arrives.
- #6) Releasing – After asking, stop forcing. Go live your life. Walk, drive, work, brainstorm out loud, drink coffee, move through ordinary moments, and allow ideas or clarity to arise naturally instead of mentally gripping for answers.
- #7) Noticing – Pay attention to what returns — sudden ideas, emotional shifts, coincidences, synchronicities, timing, relief, unexpected opportunities, little “winks,” or moments that feel quietly meaningful. Then continue the conversation and relationship over time.

📋Additional Daily Notes

Today felt like one of those days where a lot of seemingly unrelated pieces all pointed toward the same larger goal: building a life intentionally rather than simply reacting to it. Most of my attention went into developing Version 2 of my Universal Planner (see photo to the right). It wasn’t glamorous work. In fact, it was often frustrating. I spent hours wrestling with Google Sheets formulas, Apps Script functions, session logging, start and end timers, automatic row insertion, and dashboard calculations. There were moments when I questioned whether I was making progress at all as the sheet insisted on inserting rows in the wrong places, totals stubbornly stayed at zero, and scripts behaved in ways that made no sense. But underneath all the debugging was something much bigger. I wasn’t just building a spreadsheet—I was building an operating system for the person I want to become. Every bug fixed was another brick in a structure that I hope I’ll be using every day for years.
I also spent some time comparing this new planner to the original Excel version. Opening the old workbook on my laptop reminded me how difficult it had become to read, with tiny fonts and crowded information everywhere. That comparison reinforced one of the main design goals of Version 2: simplicity. I want something that feels calm when I open it. Something that naturally guides me toward today’s actions instead of overwhelming me with data. We also worked through the logic of the “Start Session” and “End Session” buttons, debated whether the “Investment by Goal” section even deserved a place in the planner, and simplified several ideas that had grown too complicated. The planner is slowly becoming less about tracking numbers and more about reinforcing habits.
Between coding sessions I wandered into a few completely different rabbit holes. I learned that Detective Comics #27—the first appearance of Batman—was released in May 1939, just a few months before the outbreak of World War II. That naturally led me to reading about Germany during May 1939 and realizing just how much history was unfolding while Batman was making his debut on newsstands. It’s fascinating how those two timelines coexist: one marking the birth of a fictional hero, the other moving rapidly toward one of history’s darkest chapters.
There was also a lighter side to the day. I watched a Philippine vlog where they bought chocolate-and-vanilla soft-serve ice cream for only 20 pesos—about thirty-three cents U.S. Even though I’m committed to my AI Diet, I couldn’t help thinking how fun it would be to experience little everyday treats like that while exploring local markets someday. It wasn’t really about the ice cream itself. It represented something larger: the ordinary pleasures of living somewhere new, sitting on a roadside with someone special, enjoying simple moments that don’t cost much but become treasured memories.
As evening arrived, I headed out to McDonald’s as I often do to think, organize ideas, and unwind. Afterwards I drove past Liberty Kitchen.
Looking back over the day, I realize the biggest accomplishment wasn’t fixing formulas or learning a bit more history. It was strengthening the identity I’ve been trying to cultivate. Every time I sit down for a focused session, every time I improve the planner, every time I choose to invest my time intentionally instead of drifting, I’m casting another vote for the person I’m becoming. The Universal Planner isn’t the destination—it’s simply a tool. The real project is me. And today, despite all the debugging and detours, I think I moved one step closer to becoming the man I’m trying to build.
