    • #1) Hello – Begin by acknowledging them out loud. Simply say “Hello Universe” and open the conversation. The goal is not perfection or certainty, but connection. Say “THANK YOU” for everything and be SPECIFIC about manifestations!
    • #2) Honesty – Speak truthfully about what you actually feel — fear, loneliness, frustration, gratitude, confusion, hope, excitement, doubt, or exhaustion. Don’t perform spirituality. Just be real.
    • #3) Companionship – Treat them like companions walking beside you. Share little moments throughout the day: things you notice, appreciate, wonder about, or find beautiful or funny. Build relationship, not just requests.

Today felt like one of those strangely full days where nothing huge happened, but somehow the day still gathered a personality of its own. The morning started with one of my usual conversations with the Universe. Around 9:50 a.m., before making chili, I paused and gave thanks for the sunny day, for everything that’s been provided so far, and for the feeling that maybe I’m getting back on track again. I told the Universe I was planning to return to my diet and try something simple: chili and a roll, bowl after bowl if needed, and see whether consistency could quietly move the scale again. I asked for a wink too — maybe a coin, maybe a free coffee, maybe something unexpected — but this time I left the details open and said, “You decide.”

From there, the kitchen became mission control. I cooked dry beans in the Instant Pot, talked through lentils, tofu, chili combinations, and somehow turned the whole thing into a mini experiment. There was something satisfying about building food from scratch again — beans soaking, tofu crisping in the air fryer, thoughts drifting toward spelt flour rolls and whether a cleaner, simpler approach might actually work long term.

At some point after taking my daughter to school, I ended up doing what I often do — wandering. I stopped at Black’s Cycle in Comox and started asking questions about BMX bikes and other possibilities for my son. They didn’t have what I was looking for but pointed me toward Beaufort Cycle and Dodge City Cycles. It wasn’t even really about buying anything yet. It felt more like opening a door and exploring what might be possible.

Eventually I made my way to Benino’s and sat down with an Americano and milk. NVDA reported after the bell so I watched a video on that (see photo to the right). My mind naturally drifted into thinking about stocks, AI, Tesla, SpaceX, and the future. It felt calm — one of those moments where life isn’t extraordinary, but it feels good anyway.

And then there was the almost-coin.

I saw something shiny near a house and for a second I really thought this might be it — maybe the wink I had asked for earlier. I walked toward it with that strange little feeling of possibility. Up close, it wasn’t a coin after all. But honestly, that wasn’t really the point. The point was that I had noticed. I had hoped. I had walked over. For a moment I had been open to surprise.

The rest of the day drifted between conversations about investments, AI infrastructure companies, Tesla, ARM, SpaceX, and all the giant futures people imagine. But underneath all of that, today didn’t really feel like it was about billions of dollars or market caps.

It felt like chili, coffee, sunlight, wandering, bicycles, a shiny object that wasn’t a coin, and quietly believing that maybe good things are already unfolding.

Not a bad Wednesday. ☀️☕🍲🪙🚲
