📋Additional Daily Notes

It’s Friday folks, and I started the day the same way I’ve been trying to start more of them lately—grounded, intentional, and not overwhelmed. I opened up my ToDo List and focused on just a few key things instead of everything at once. Maggie’s Manifestation was front and center again, that idea of being 100% okay without it while still knowing it’s coming. That mindset alone feels like it changes the tone of the whole day. I weighed in at 347.9 lbs, which puts me at 14.0 lbs down overall, and made sure to record it properly. No Nighttime Whispers to capture this morning, but I kicked off Day #1 of Terje’s Spirit Lab at exactly 2:22 pm, which felt like a deliberate starting point—almost like putting a flag in the ground.

Earlier, I had been thinking about something simple but strangely powerful—the idea of just saying, “Hey guys, a little help here, please.” Seven words. That’s it. Whether it’s real, imagined, or somewhere in between, the act of asking, of not assuming you’re alone, shifts something. It’s easy to dismiss, but it’s also easy to try. And today felt like one of those days where trying things—small things—was enough.

2026-04-10 - Yummies!

This afternoon I made a pass through Costco just to check things out. Walked through the appliance section—rows of washers and dryers, the kind of purchases that quietly keep life running. Then into the prepared food area and saw the gyro kits sitting there for $19.99, packaged, portioned, efficient. It was impossible not to compare it to what I had just eaten. Same idea, completely different experience. Then over to the meat section—huge strip loins, bulk pricing, $50 off signs—everything designed for scale, storage, and long-term thinking. It felt like moving through layers: individual choice, system, scale.

From there, the day unfolded out in the world. I stopped at Yummies!, one of those small, almost hidden places where you don’t walk through a door—you ring a bell (see photo to the right). Ordered a gyro and a donair, $24 cash, simple transaction, no system, just a person making food. Instead of eating there, I took it over to McDonald’s, walked in, sat down, and ate it at one of their tables. That contrast stuck with me. Sitting inside one of the most structured, predictable environments you can imagine, eating something that came from the complete opposite kind of place. Same table, same lighting, same surroundings—but a completely different choice. I didn’t choose the place. I chose the food.

Later on, I headed to Landmark and walked into “Project Hail Mary”. Just seeing that sign lit up in the hallway felt like stepping into something bigger, like the start of a mission. The story itself—one man, alone, trying to solve an impossible problem to save humanity—somehow echoed everything else I’d been thinking about throughout the day. Not in a dramatic way, just in that quiet, underlying sense that you’re in the middle of something, even if you don’t fully understand it yet.

By the evening, I found myself back at McDonald’s again, but this time it was different. Fries on the table, coffee beside me, burger there, tablet playing something in front of me. I wasn’t passing through anymore. I was sitting. Watching. Thinking. Same place as earlier, but a completely different state. That’s what stood out most. Same environment, different version of me inside it.

In between all of this, I kept an eye on things that feel bigger than the day itself—markets, world events, conversations about supply chains, helium, semiconductors, and how fragile everything really is underneath the surface. It’s strange to think that something as simple as a narrow stretch of water on the other side of the world could ripple all the way into technology, food, and everyday life. And yet, at the same time, here I am, moving through a normal Friday—food, errands, a movie, a quiet evening.

I also saw a small but meaningful shift in something I’m building—the newsletter. From 46 to 51 subscribers, open rates over 50%, clicks strong. Nothing massive, but enough to know something is working. The signal is there. It just needs more reach.

It wasn’t a dramatic day. No major milestones, no big breakthroughs. But it was steady. Intentional. Layered. From manifestation mindset in the morning, to ringing a bell for lunch, to walking through systems of scale, to sitting in a theater about a mission, to ending the night quietly with fries and a screen. You can move through systems without fully belonging to them. You can choose what you take in, even when the environment stays the same.

Some days don’t feel important while you’re in them. But by the end, you realize you were moving through something—not just places, but states.

And for today, that felt like enough.
