The day moved into more practical territory today as I thought about food, nutrition, and systems. I questioned whether I really need things like tuna or salmon and realized that with the right approach—covering nutrients like omega-3 and B12—I don’t. It connected with ideas from Derek Sarno’s plant-based approach and Dr. David Sinclair’s longevity philosophy, both pointing toward intentional, mostly plant-based living rather than rigid rules. I then shifted into action and used what I had: frozen chicken breasts, the Instant Pot, and the air fryer. The chicken came out tender and then crisped up nicely, creating a simple, repeatable system that worked without much effort.

Later this evening I went to McDonald’s and had a $5 McValue meal, upgrading it with a large coffee. I sat there watching World News Tonight on my tablet (see photo to the right) and heard the phrase “fragile ceasefire,” one of those moments where your immediate world and the larger global one overlap. Fries, coffee, and headlines about tension and uncertainty. It didn’t feel rushed or mindless—it felt like a pause, a moment to sit and take things in.

The biggest moment of the day came when I checked my subscriber count for my newsletter. It had jumped again—what started at 17 had moved to 21, then into the 30s, with 16 new subscribers in a single day from one simple Facebook post. No ads, no funnel, no complicated strategy—just sharing something useful in a natural way. That was the clearest signal of the day: real movement, not just theory or learning.

At the same time, I signed up for an AI learning platform, Coursiv.ai, for $44.79 USD. Earlier in the day, that might have felt like progress on its own, but by the evening it was clear that the real progress was already happening through action. It brought to mind the video about Specialty Merchandise Corporation and Tom Bosley—how easy it is to get pulled into systems that promise results instead of requiring real effort. Even small things reflected that same theme. My sweatpants have holes in the crotch area, and instead of overthinking it, I looked into simple 100% cotton iron-on patches as a straightforward fix.

By the end of the day, nothing looked dramatically different on the surface, but there was a clear shift underneath. Less distraction, more awareness. Less chasing, more building. The dream in the morning had been about signing something without thinking, and the day itself felt like a quiet correction of that—choosing more carefully what to engage with, what to commit to, and what actually matters, and continuing forward with what is already working.
