Daily Notes
Today began, as all Becoming days do, with the daily pillars that anchor me. I stepped onto the scale and watched the numbers confirm the story I am living: 361.9 lbs down to 301.4 lbs — a total of 60.5 lbs lost. That number isn’t just weight off my body; it’s proof that I am carrying less of the old world, the old me, and stepping more lightly into the future I’ve already chosen. Recording the weight in the title gave me that little ritual victory — another “down more each day” moment.
The dream I recorded this morning stayed with me. I called it The Man Called Cinnamon Beard. A stranger, hoping for a hair transplant, sat in a chair while “Regular Guy”, a YouTube guy from the Philippines — someone I’d watched before — patched little tufts of hair on his cheeks and beard because there wasn’t enough for a head of hair. At the end, the man accepted it all and said he would embrace his new name, “Cinnamon Beard.” The humor of it lingered, but so did the message: the Universe doesn’t always deliver the exact thing we ask for, but if we embrace the unexpected, it might give us an identity sweeter and stranger than we could have imagined.

Later in the day I made the rounds — Costco, then Subway. At Costco, I stocked up, just moving through the aisles with that satisfaction that comes from being provided for. At Subway, the experience turned into a lighthearted Becoming moment. I pulled out my phone and showed the girl working there the “Dosa Throwing Guy” video — the famous street vendor who tosses dosas like a magician (see photo to the right). She laughed, leaning forward to watch, and for a moment the energy shifted from ordinary transaction to shared joy. That’s Becoming too: sparking connection in unexpected places.
But the biggest focus of today was refining the YouTube Shorts system. Over the last 150+ days I’ve been experimenting, but now I feel like I’ve locked into something that’s both repeatable and powerful. The formula is simple, but it works:
- Quick face intro to make it personal and stop the scroll.
- Zoom and movement around the food, showing it up close like proof that it’s real.
- The eating shot, where I take the bite.
- The reaction shot, my joy and satisfaction visible — food as celebration, not deprivation.
- The tombstone gag, a playful reminder that the food was “to die for.”
- Logo bottom-right, always present, always funneling viewers to the free guide.
Today I also built out the 7-day slate for Week 1, with each day’s food, narration or music choice, CTA, pinned comment, hashtags, and tags. It’s not random anymore — it’s structured experimentation. Some videos will be narration-driven, where I speak directly about being down 70 lbs and still eating hearty food. Others will let music carry the energy, like “Heaven Is a Place on Earth,” while on-screen text asks the question. Each video has its own hook, its own challenge, and its own way to spark comments.
I’ve even committed to publishing one Short per day at 6:30 pm — not just random uploads, but consistent rhythm, paired with pinned comments designed to drive engagement and subscribers: “Would you eat this? Smash like.” “Who else is on a weight loss journey? Comment below.” “Grab my free AI Diet Guide.”
It feels like I’ve crossed a threshold. I’m not just making content — I’m building a body of proof, 30 days straight, with measurable metrics and tweaks along the way. Every Short is both a ritual of Becoming and a bridge to those who will find me because of it.
I kept my space in order, too. I spent time cleaning the kitchen in prep for the “cutting board” filming — a small but powerful action in the Barn Suite that makes my environment match my inner alignment. I also listened again to the v7 subliminal audio, the nightly programming I’ve been running. My thought tonight: maybe it’s time to bring someone on Upwork to help me refine it, take it to the next level.
As always, I’ll close the day with the Nighttime Whisper: “Tonight, as I sleep, I open myself to the Universe. Show me the next inspired action that is mine to take — clear, simple, and unmistakable. And if there is something already in my life, right in front of me, that I have not yet seen — reveal it to me.” It’s a reminder that nothing meant for me can be lost, and that signs of love, abundance, and Becoming are already here, waiting to be seen.
Day #153 was about proof. Proof in numbers, proof in dreams, proof in laughter at the Subway counter, and proof in the careful system I’ve built for Shorts. Each one is evidence that the story is already finished. I am simply walking across the bridge of incidents toward the end I already chose.
