Tonight had that quiet, in-between kind of energy—part reset, part figuring things out, part just getting back into motion.

Earlier, I found myself thinking about the basics again—simple things like how long to cook chicken chunks in the air fryer. That led into a bit of a drift into random curiosity—what’s going on with Timothée Chalamet lately, and then into the movie Licorice Pizza. What it’s about, why it’s called that, and how the title doesn’t even show up in the film itself. Just one of those threads that fills the background of the day.

Later on, I got out of the house and headed to Costco. Walked around, picked up some chicken and potatoes, just being out and moving again. It felt like a small but important step—nothing dramatic, just re-entering normal life.

After that, I ended up at McDonald’s. Sat down with a coffee and ended up going a little further than planned—an Easter Egg McFlurry and a couple of those blueberry cream pies (see photo to the right). One of those moments. Not part of the plan, but it happened. Just logging it, no drama.

The night shifted into troubleshooting mode after that. I worked on getting the TV and soundbar set up properly. The LG S20A is connected through HDMI ARC, everything wired correctly, but still no sound. Went through the settings, confirmed the TV is set to “External Speaker (Optical/HDMI ARC),” which is right.

That’s when it became a bit of a process—checking connections, sending photos, narrowing it down. The missing piece turned out to be something called SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC), which isn’t even in the sound menu—it’s buried under General settings. That’s the next step, and it feels like I’m right on the edge of getting it working.

So the day ended up being a mix of small wins, a couple of slips, and a bit of technical problem-solving. Nothing big, nothing dramatic—just moving forward, piece by piece, getting things back into place.
