Day #134 of my Arch of Becoming. Four months and change into this journey, and I am still building, still layering rituals into the fabric of my days. No Nighttime Whispers found me this morning — or at least none that I could hold onto — but the scale was there waiting. 286.4 lbs. That’s a total of 75.5 pounds lost, a number that speaks louder than whispers. It’s my daily reminder that persistence works. I record it in the title each day as a declaration: “Down More Each Day.”

2025-09-14 - Campbell River Subway

I went to Campbell River today to see if I could get that gallon water container with spigot at Walmart…the one that I broke yesterday. Alas, none there, and none at Canadian Tire. I even went to Home Depot on a whim, but nadda… By the time I was ready to come home I hadn’t eaten all day so I was hungry. I went to the Subway near the College and Island Grind Coffee, watching The Suicide Squad on my tablet while eating a Veggie Delight with honey mustard, baked Lay’s, and a Diet Pepsi (see photo to the right). It was the first bread I’d had in a while, and it felt like a treat wrapped in restraint — indulgence, but still inside the lines. Later, I pulled into Tim Hortons for a large coffee (two cream, two sugar) and a salted caramel butter tart. That felt even more like a cheat, but instead of guilt, I framed it as curiosity: what will the scale say tomorrow? And the answer came this morning: still 286.4, still 75.5 pounds down. That was confirmation enough. I can enjoy small breaks and still hold the line.

Back home today, I cleared soda cans from my Barn Suite, a small but symbolic gesture of making space. I stacked my rituals like beads on a string: Martini Water at 9:11, the ring touch at 8:55, the cufflink adjustment at 8:56, the Calm Smirk at 8:57. These gestures continue to tune my subconscious — to remind me that Becoming is a posture as much as it is a plan.

YouTube work also flowed. I completed the 28-Day Promotional Checklist for Solitaire Game (v0006S), knowing each small act contributes to the larger growth of my channel. Yesterday’s Ferry Boat video premiered at 5:45 p.m., echoing my own sense of crossing, and my Potato Ritual short continues to gather views. This is momentum — not a flash in the pan, but a steady climb.

Tonight I’ll finish with my subliminal audio, the whispered soundtrack that rewires me while I sleep. And before I close my eyes, I’ll recite my Nighttime Whisper, opening myself to clear, unmistakable guidance, and asking to finally see what may already be in front of me.

Day #134 wasn’t about fireworks. It was about connection: connecting frustrations in Campbell River to steadiness, connecting indulgence with discipline, connecting words on the pier with my reality here on the Island. Today reminded me that even when the canisters aren’t on the shelves, the signs not on the floor, and the universe feels silent, I am still moving forward. Steady. Patient. Becoming.
