Daily Notes
This morning’s weigh-in came in at 296.0 lbs. That’s 65.9 pounds lost since the beginning. Each number down is more than weight — it’s proof of discipline, a Becoming tally etched into my body.
The day itself began with my wife and daughter heading off to hike Mount Washington.
For weeks I’d been circling around the idea of opening a new RBC checking account, a fresh container for the flow from my “AI Diet Plan.” I imagined it being complicated — meetings, paperwork, delays. Instead, the banker showed me I could do it all online. Five minutes later, the account was open. Simple, seamless, no obstacles. It felt like the universe whispering: “You asked for a clear step today. Here it is.”
I went to the Tin Roof Cafe for an Americano with almond milk later this afternoon. I happened to mention to the guy at the counter, who I think was the owner, the frustration of how the credit/debit machines all operate differently and if there was one thing that they could standardize it was this. He started to argue with me and I realized he was having a bad day…
While seated there I watched an Abraham Hicks video (see video to the right), and the timing couldn’t have been better. She reminded me that when a desire feels slow to arrive, it’s usually because we’re not spending enough time immersed in it with joy. At the 10:28 mark she described a game called “Virtual Reality,” where you pick a small snippet of what you want and imagine it as happily and vividly as possible. It struck me how close this is to Neville Goddard’s teaching — living in the end — but with Hicks’ emphasis on lightness and play.
I also ran errands this afternoon and picked up a few things at Walmart. I finally grabbed an affordable volumizing conditioner (i.e.: Being Big Hair) for my wispy gray hair — a practical little step toward taking better care of myself. And at the kiosk outside, I bought a Blackjack scratch ticket. I didn’t win!
The idea crossed my mind in the Walmart parking lot of creating a Facebook group for “Neville Goddard Vancouver Island!.
To end the day, I spent over three and a half hours on the road with my daughter. We landed at Starbucks, and she lit up when she saw the fall drinks had just arrived. It was her season in a cup.
I asked the universe this morning for a clear sign. What I got were two: a bank account wide open for the flow of money, and a Canadian pathway wide open for the flow of love. Both doors swinging at once.
It’s no accident that today is also my two-year anniversary of starting this journey. On Aug. 29, 2023, I sat in a Panera Bread with a copy of The Magic on my Kindle, committing myself to learning the Law of Attraction one day at a time. Two years later, I can say it’s not just theory anymore. The signs are tangible. The account is real. The law is clear. And the message is unmistakable: the path is open.
