2025-07-28 - Weight

There were signs today! Tangible ones! I weighed in at 298.3 lbs. today, showing that my “under 300 weight” for yesterday was not a fluke! for the first time in years—a photo caught it (see photo to the right). My portfolio jumped $34K in one day—unexpected windfall. But it wasn’t just numbers or weight. It was the feeling of something clicking into place. Emotional truth, fatherhood, soul mission, and legacy all wove together into one ritualized day. It felt like a milestone. Not flashy. Not loud. Just deeply real.

I was able to get the “first draft” of the “30-Year My Life Arch” template completed.  I was able to come up with the phraseology so that ChatGPT will generate my daily summaries for my blog.  This should save a lot of time! 

Today was something rare—quietly sacred. I went on a 3¼ hour drive with my daughter, our first real time together since she returned from Europe. The road stretched out in front of us like a ribbon of remembering. This was Day #1 of our “14 Days of Drives & Coffee”, and today we focused on Europe and her thoughts of it. She liked going out on the drive with her Uncle Tomas through London at night. She made an interesting comment: “Night is my favorite time of day”… Quite the play on words. She liked the escargot in Paris and Evelena, Katie’s cousin, insisted that they visit a pastry shop, so she got a taste of that as well.

I felt something I haven’t felt in a long time: tender, seen, and aligned. As if for that stretch of time, I wasn’t reaching or fixing or scripting the future—I was simply living in the truth of it. My daughter—so bright, so unique—was beside me not just as my child, but as someone I’ve walked with in deeper stories. Sometimes, to become stronger, you stop fighting. You become the whisper.
