Today started with a number that didn’t ask permission. 339.4 pounds. It sat there on the scale, not dramatic, not emotional, just factual. The kind of number that reflects not just a single meal, but a pattern. A few days of looseness. Costco runs. McDonald’s stops. Convenience layered on top of convenience.
