Welcome to the start of another work week! Here comes item #1 on my “ToDo List”: (You can use these symbols: ☐✅).
Soup Diet… Day #003 (?/14–>50%=Win!) (<290 Today? – Nope!)
So I’m going to start this next month with a new format and see how it goes. I’ve been doing primarily lists for the past few years, but I thought I would try something different…
The main goal is to: get back to <290 lbs.
I’m still going to have “ToDo” Lists at heart, but this time I’m going to couch these “ToDo” items in paragraphs to provide a narrative on what needs to be done. In doing so, hopefully I will get myself into the mood of getting things done. The goal is to complete the “ToDo” items in the paragraphs no matter what each day, with a lot of regular “ToDo” items to follow these paragraphs if I happen to feel extra “energetic” and want to get more done. Ready? Here goes…
To start off each day, record my weight as I have been doing so far:
- ✅ #01: 📈 Weigh yourself! (361.9 lbs. – 322.3 lbs. = 39.6 lbs. total weight loss.)
- ✅ #02: 📉 Record Weight Down in Title!
- ✅ #03: 😴 Record any Nighttime Whispers! (The Bus, The Sabbath, & The Garden!)
The main go for the next month or so is to focus more on my health and getting back down to <290.0 lbs., which I did do last August, but have gone up considerably since then. I need to put the benefits of losing weight at the forefront of my mind:
- To simply feel better.
- To be able to walk faster.
- Walking in Philippines.
- Shins.
- Prolong Knees.
To do this I will be going back to the basics, and initially adopting Andrew Taylor’s SpudFit diet, of only potatoes and condiments for the next month. This can/will include both regular and sweet potatoes, almond milk, “sugar” included condiments but “without fat”, tea, coffee, Zevia, 0% alcohol beer, and water.
- ✅ #04: 🥔Follow the SpudFit diet plan! (Yes!)
- ☐✅ #05: 💊 Take Vitamins: <>

- ☐✅ #07: 💧 Hydration Target Met (≈ 2L) with (Lemon juice: 6 tablespoons, Apple cider vinegar: 2 tablespoons, Himalayan salt: 1/4 teaspoon, Iodized salt: 1/4 teaspoon)! <>
Moving away from the physical, to the mental:

- ☐✅ #09: 👩⚕️Work on my “Nurse Novel“: <>
- ✅ #10: 🌙 Listen to a “Nighttime Subliminal” .mp3 Tape: (Neville tapes!)

📋Additional Daily Notes
For the past few years, I’ve been recording my life primarily in lists — long lists, checklists, bullet points, and task grids. And while that system has helped me stay organized, I’m starting to feel the limitations of it. Lists track progress… but they don’t always create momentum. They don’t always inspire action. So I’m going to experiment with a new format: keeping the ToDo list at heart, but embedding the day’s priorities inside paragraphs — like a narrative mission briefing — so that the story itself pulls me into motion.
The main goal for the next phase is simple and sharp: get back under 290 pounds. That number matters. Last August I hit it. Since then, I’ve drifted upward again. So now the focus needs to return to the foundation — not fantasies, not big new reinventions, not complicated systems — but the daily reality of health and weight loss. If I’m going to build a bigger life, then my body needs to be in a place where it can carry it.
To begin the day, I did what I’ve been doing throughout this Becoming run: I weighed myself, recorded the number, and tracked the total progress so far. My weight loss total remains a massive achievement: 361.9 lbs down to 322.3 lbs — a total loss of 39.6 pounds. That matters. Even if I’m not where I want to be yet, I’m still living proof that change is possible and that the work counts. I also made sure to lock the number into the title, so the day remains measurable and honest. And as part of the daily ritual, I recorded last night’s Nighttime Whispers dream — The Bus, The Sabbath, and the Garden — because that dream was not just a random dream. It felt like a message, like an answer.

Mentally, I’m making progress. I continued reading The World Is Waiting For You by Edwina Findley Dickerson, and I actually read some of it today at Mudsharks after my physiotherapy appointment. That feels important because this book has become part of a bigger thread in my story: a confrontation with the question of blessing, timing, faith, and why some lives seem to contain constant “miracle momentum” while others feel delayed and hard-earned. Reading it in public, in a local Comox Valley setting, also feels symbolic — as if I’m trying to return my story to the world instead of isolating inside it. By the way, the price of Americano’s at Mudsharks are the same regardless of the size (see photo to the right). The guy said that this is because the only addition is water…
I also continued listening to Neville Goddard subliminal tapes — a Nighttime Subliminal .mp3 — which tied directly into last night’s dream. One of the biggest synchronicities was that Neville’s talk about “the Sabbath” became a dream message itself. I don’t think that’s meaningless. I think it signals that my subconscious is actually being trained and reoriented — not just through conscious effort, but through repetition, suggestion, and inner reinforcement.
Beyond weight and mindset, there are practical “life order” priorities that remain in progress. I have a goal of getting the Barn Suite in order — because the Barn Suite is more than storage, it’s a symbolic space. It represents readiness, organization, and the ability to build a life that feels clean and stable. I have several tasks in that category: labeling filing cabinet boxes and contents, assembling a lamp, oiling the cutting board, purchasing a corner bookcase, and assembling the corner bookcase. None of these were completed today, but they remain on deck, and the plan is to move on them gradually and consistently.
The same is true for assembling my music studio. There are tasks waiting in that realm too: fixing and restoring external drives, downloading software, and assembling the drum kit. These are not small tasks, but they are powerful because they reconnect me to the creative part of myself — the part that makes rather than consumes. And if I’m going to build my third-act life properly, then music is not optional. It’s part of my identity.
There’s also the bookkeeping and legacy documentation work: downloading OneDrive data and photographing physical journals. That might not sound exciting, but for me it matters deeply. My journals are my real archive. My story is documented. My children’s lives are documented. My Becoming journey is documented. And I want those materials secured, preserved, and organized because they may become the raw material of future books, projects, and legacy work.
And then there are a few “for fun” items — things that aren’t essential, but that bring back joy and personality: reading the Keith Moon book, and doing Flight Simulator practice (takeoffs and landings at Courtenay airport). Even these have meaning, because part of Becoming is not just surviving and grinding. It’s reintroducing play. Reintroducing wonder.
Overall, today was not perfect, but it was constructive. It was a day of health focus, mental reinforcement, and renewed commitment to building a daily system that can carry me back to sub-290 and beyond. What matters most is that the core win happened: I followed the SpudFit lane today. I kept the daily anchors. I advanced the mental thread through reading. And I stayed in the conversation — with myself, with the Universe, and with the future version of my life that still feels possible.
The whole point of this new format is to build a daily narrative that creates motion. And today, despite the challenges, the narrative held. Tomorrow, I continue.
