Today felt like a hinge — a threshold day I’ve come to call “School Eve.” When I was a kid, Labor Day meant school the very next morning, no pause, no buffer. Now things are different. Teachers take the first day back for themselves, and my kids return tomorrow. The house carried that strange mix of calm and anticipation, like everyone knew summer’s rhythm was closing and a new cadence was about to begin.

2025-09-02 - Shampoo & Conditioner

I stayed faithful to my Core Pillars: weighing in at 293.0 lbs (68.9 down total), noting the progress in my title, watching an inspiring video about a 64-year-old attorney keeping strong, and running through my supplements and skincare rituals. Even something as simple as cleansing with CeraVe and applying Dove Pro-Retinol at night feels like more than maintenance now — it’s proof that I’m showing up for myself daily.

Later today my daughter and I went for a drive. She opened up about a school friend of hers, their tensions, and her hopes to widen her circle of friends this year. Hearing her talk reminded me that Becoming isn’t just my journey — my kids are walking their own paths of change, risk, and discovery.

I also gave myself a first wash with the new Aussie Miracle Volume Shampoo and Being BIG HAIR Volumizing Conditioner (see photo to the right). One minute with the shampoo, three with the conditioner, and a cool rinse — simple, but it felt like a reset, a small ritual folded into the larger Becoming rhythm. Even the kids standing on their threshold for school tomorrow mirrored back to me the same truth. Today was a reminder that Becoming unfolds not by forcing signs but by stepping into transitions fully, with eyes open and heart steady.
