📋Additional Daily Notes

The day started with something a little different. At 11 a.m., the Abraham Live event I had ordered began streaming, and I found myself tuning in—not just casually, but with a bit more intention than usual. I thought that they would be highlighting the situation in the Middle East, particularly Iran, but they barely mentioned it…

Somewhere in that same lane, I made another decision that felt aligned with that mindset. I went ahead and bought Terje’s Spirit Lab—the full method—priced at £30. It wasn’t about the amount so much as what it represented: a deliberate step into something, a signal that I’m not just watching or thinking about change, but participating in it. Another piece of intentional input, layered into the day.

2026-04-01 - Large Fries

Later on, I found myself doing something much more familiar—sitting down at McDonald’s with a tray of large fries and a coffee. It was one of those simple setups: fresh fries, hot coffee, and a little pocket of time to just sit and observe. I had grabbed not one, not two, but four ketchup cups, which in hindsight felt like a small but telling detail (see photo to the left). Not rushed, not improvised—just prepared. There’s a certain rhythm to those moments lately, sitting in public spaces, watching people move through their routines, not needing to be anywhere else.

But underneath that familiar pattern, something had shifted.

I had gone to Costco earlier, and somewhere between walking the aisles and thinking about the past week—yes, the “french fries week”—I started asking a better question: what’s next? Not in a vague, someday kind of way, but in a very practical, immediate sense. Mac and cheese crossed my mind. So did just continuing on with whatever felt easy. But then I landed on something more structured: cheeseburgers. Smash burgers, specifically.

And just like that, a plan started forming.

Two slices of sprouted wheat bread instead of buns. Provolone cheese. Ketchup, mustard, and a bit of mayo. Pickles, tomato, lettuce. Simple, repeatable, and something I could actually see myself sticking with. Not for one meal, not for one day—but for a full seven days starting Friday. That part felt important. Not because it’s perfect, but because it removes the constant decision-making that usually leads things off track.

It’s interesting how the day held both sides of that contrast. On one hand, fries and coffee—easy, familiar, almost automatic. On the other, a deliberate decision about what the next week will look like. And maybe that’s what today really was: a transition point. Not dramatic, not loud, but a quiet shift from reacting to deciding.

April 1st didn’t come with a big reset button. It came with a small one. And for now, that feels like enough.
