Today was one of those quiet, rainy Thursdays where nothing dramatic happened — and yet, a lot got done.

I started the morning the same way I’ve been trying to start every day lately: with my Morning Prayer to the Universe. It’s my way of grounding myself before the noise of thoughts and doubts starts up. I thanked God for another day, asked for guidance, and reminded myself that I’m still learning. That simple ritual continues to matter more than it looks on paper.

After that, I weighed in and recorded it. I’m still down 35.1 pounds from where I started, and while the journey hasn’t been linear, that number reminds me that consistency works when I stick with it. No shortcuts. No magic. Just showing up.

I stayed on track with my core habits today. I read my Little Red Book list, listened to my nighttime subliminal, and followed my Only Meal Template. Potatoes, egg whites, vegetables, and fruit. Simple food. I’ve started using Sriracha now (see photo to the right). No oil. No nonsense. I also kept up with my supplements, my martini water ritual, and my basic self-care. These routines may look boring, but they are slowly rebuilding my health and my self-trust.

One of the most satisfying parts of the day was working on my living space. I finally labeled my filing boxes from CV01 to CV14 and organized them. It sounds small, but it isn’t. Reducing clutter reduces mental noise. I also waxed my cutting board, which felt like a quiet act of respect for my tools and my space. Taking care of the small things is part of taking care of myself.

On the creative side, my Early Bird Café short went live today. Publishing content is something I’ve learned not to overthink anymore. Perfectionism used to stop me. Now I aim for progress. Ship it. Learn. Improve.

I also spent time distributing more of my bright yellow cards at places like Wendy’s, Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and Walmart. I added handwritten notes and arrows like I’ve been experimenting with. So far, no new subscribers have shown up yet, and I’d be lying if I said that didn’t sting a little. But I’m learning that building anything real takes time. Seeds don’t sprout on demand.

There were moments today when discouragement tried to creep in. The old voice that says, “You try and nothing happens.” But instead of spiraling, I kept going. I stuck to my routines. I did the next right thing. That matters.

By the end of the day, I had completed my Daily Win: prayer, reading, subliminal, and clean eating. I moved my health forward. I improved my environment. I published something. I stayed engaged with my goals even when results weren’t immediate.

Nothing flashy. No big breakthrough.

Just steady work.

And more and more, I’m learning that this is what real change looks like.

Today wasn’t about waiting.

It was about becoming.
